im not sure what drivers you need here is a basic guide
open up control panel administrive tools computer management device manager you will see a host of devices installed on your computer
if you see any red x's or yellow ! question mark? this means that this device needs a driver
to add a driver right click select update driver

If you just disabled it, go back into Device Manager and it will automatically show with a large X over the icon of the disabled device. You most probably Uninstalled it in which case, a restart should let Windows auto detect it again. Go in Device Manager again to view and enable it if needed.

1) You can go to the hardware store, and get a rubber O-ring that is slightly smaller than the drive belt.

2) Cut the ring off of a rubber balloon.

I left the page open to a kit for two reasons.

1) It keeps the Product Details open on the left side, to Drive belts, and keeps the Drive Belt 'tree' open.

2) You may want to give some thought to a kit, (You may not)
The belt usually averages about 95 Cents.
The shipping charge is usually $7.95

It may be more advantageous to buy a kit, with 33 belts of various dimensions for that shipping cost, for one example.

There are lots of possible reasons for this, but I will just try and give you a few troubleshootings

steps that you can try out.

The first one is that, your CD/DVD lens might have become weak, and therefore might need to be

changed, or if its just dirty, you might just need a lens cleaner.
The second reason is that, it might be that the CD you are trying to read is bad, dirty, or not

properly burnt...in this case, you might need to clean the surface of the CD properly then re-insert it.

Also, you can try to upgade your RAM(Memory Card Sticks), especially if it is less than

1Gigabyte. (I've seen a case like this before, and that is why I'm adding it.

The third reason is that, your CD/DVD Drive might be having a conflict within the OS. What I

would suggest in this case is that, Power up your system, then when the system boots, just right

click on my computer, then properties, then select the hardwares tab, then click on device

manager.
When you get to device manager page, try and locate DVD/CDrom Drives, then click on it, if your

drive is there, then just right-click on it, and select uninstall, and after this, on that same page,

click on 'Actions', and select "Scan for hardware changes". But if its not there. Just click on the

"Actions, and Then select "Scan for hardware changes".

This should automatically place your CD/DVD drive back inside your My Computer page. After

this, try the CD or DVD again.

It is possible that when psu shorted it shorted part of the mother board. Try going into device manager right on the cd-rom in the list and choose search for new hard ware in the drop down menu. If this doesn't work go back into device manager right click the cd-rom and uninstall the cd-rom and reboot the pc. If it does not auto find the cd-rom that way, the mother board is probably messed up. Oh yeah try unplugging the ribbon cable for the cd-rom from the mother board and plug it back in also.

put the old monitor back and see if the problem duplicates

first go to my computer/properties/hardware/device manager
then disable the drives & again go and rescan for hardware changes.then enable them again & restart your computer

that lg dvd doesnot need any driver to be downloaded, drivers for it are provided with windows system

normally, a CD-/DVD-drive does not require a specific driver. If your operating system does not recognise the hardware, it is probably not connected properly or broken.
