Lexmark X4650 All-In-One InkJet Printer Questions & Answers
My wi fi orange light is blinking on my lexmark x4650 printer
The blinking WiFi light on your printer indicates either your printer is trying to communicate with your wireless network or your printer is not connected at all. For a quick fix, try to disconnect your printer from the power outlet. Power cycle your router and reboot your computer. Then, power on your router first, then your printer and lastly your computer. Check the WiFi light on your printer. If it goes to a solid green, that means you are connected back in your network. If not, you may reset your printer's wireless network adapter to its default settings. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter to Default. The WiFi light on your printer will momentarily turn off then back on solid orange. Then try to run the Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility on your computer to reconfigure your printer to connect to your wireless network.I hope this helps.
Paper Shooting Out
Please have a Check on the below mentioned Points and follow the steps: Please check to ensure there is nothing obstructing the paper feed mechanism down inside the printer where it is not easily seen. If there is nothing obvious, unplug the printer and remove the paper. Open the front cover and look above the steel rod. You should see a conveyor belt with rubber teeth on it, like a fan belt. Take the bottom part of that belt and move it gently to the left. The cartridges should come out with it. Make sure the cartridges can move fully from one side of the printer to the other. Check also the output rollers on the bottom of the printer for any blockage. If it is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot. Turn the printer off. Next take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the paper feed slot (The manual paper feed slot is preferred, but the automatic feed will do if there is no manual paper feed for this printer) until it comes completely through the printer to the back of the exit rollers. Move it up and down and slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate this may work it loose or you may have to feed the envelope through the front rollers and push your way backward (please be careful here). Next, take a damp warm cloth and clean the rubber rollers in the automatic sheet feeder. Dust may be coating the rollers there and as they become less tacky, they cannot feed paper correctly. Finally, turn the printer upside down and carefully shake it for 10 to 20 seconds to see if something falls out of the paper feed path. Then plug the printer back up, take your paper out and replace it with a fresh, small stack (about 5 pages) of paper. Quickly bend the stack in an 'S' shape a few times to separate pages. Make sure it is lined up on the right side of the paper feed and the paper guide on the left is snug on the left side of the paper. Then try to form feed again. If that works, then try to print again. Good Luck!!!!!!
Lexmark printer wont print
Leading cause of paper
jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed
area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:
- Remove the sheets of paper from
the feeder.
- Grab a flashlight and look
inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
- If you're willing and
physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris
should just freely roll out from the feeder.
- If feeder is clear, place the
printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
- Check the cartridge area for
any obstructions in the paper path.
- Close the printer cover.
- Re-brick your printer by
pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is
plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
- When the printer turns on,
reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify
that the problem is fixed.

Check the encoder strip and make sure it is secured in its place.3. Close the printer cover.4. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.5. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the printer cover and check for any errors.6. If no error appears, reinsert the other cartridge. Close the printer cover.7. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear with a new cartridge.8. If no error appears, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
