Make sure there is no loose parts: remove the back cover, slightly tighten all small visible screws (use an appropriate size screwdriver, and do not tight too hard). i want to switch numbers from a damaged straight talk phone to another straight talk that is inactive. do i switch the sim cards on them? the damaged phone still has minutes on it. can i carry the minutes over?

Try to take it to a cellphone repair shop. the charger socket might had a broken solder.
