No receipt and no box is unfortunate - it is usually a good idea to keep these until the warranty has expired. Without proof of purchase you have no choice but to throw yourself on the understanding of the retailer - unless you paid using a debit card or preferably a credit card. A debit card transaction (or a cheque) would provide proof of purchase on the bank statement and a credit card does provide consumer protection insurance against faulty goods as well as the necessary proof. If you paid cash you are unlikely to have success without the help of a friendly store manager and then only if you can remember the date and time you bought the device and at which till so the manager could find the proof if he was inclined. Your contract is or was with the store and that should be where you take a complaint but sometimes the manufacturer can help. As the box has gone I suppose the paperwork has also gone. The paperwork is generally something like an electrical safety leaflet, the operating instructions and a guarantee registration card. If you registered the item when you bought it then returning it to the manufacturer should be a formality. If you didn't register the product I suggest you write an old fashioned letter to the manufacturer's customer service explaining the situation and asking if they will help you.

Being a mere male (with grey hair) I am not an expert but I read the product description; "This Revlon 3D Color Technology, with a combination of specially blended dyes, conditioners and polymers, delivers natural looking, multi-tonal color from root to tip, not only boosting your hair color but also adding definition and dimensionality. The result: completely transformed, natural looking, multifaceted color and shine." I take that to mean the product is a colour booster rather than a hair dye - in other words your hair would need to be approximately that colour to begin with. My limited knowledge might be out of date but I always believed if a person wanted hair of a lighter colour it would have to be bleached and not dyed.

[End quote] So, it appears Revlon no longer offers sharpening of their beauty implements. Period. I suggest you make sure about that. Hello, Katie - I hope you have the instructions / user's manual for the spa and the sales or gift receipt for it. Since the spa is new, I would expect it to be covered by warranty. I would check the instructions / user's manual to see what it states about the spa not working and returning it. Interestingly enough, I went to the Revlon website, http://www.revlon.com/ to try to find information on the paraffin wax spa, but nothing even close to it is listed as a Revlon product. I suspect Revlon stopped making paraffin wax spas some time ago. Do you recall where you purchased the spa, or, if it was a gift, where it was purchased? If it was a gift, can you contact the person who gave it to you and find out where it was purchased and provide you with a purchase receipt or offer to return the spa for a refund?
