What test did you do? Did the floodlights come on with the sensor switch in the Test position? Did you wait two minutes after turning the circuit on? Is the sensor in the dark? If your answer is yes to those questions, then try the following: Double check the wiring. Sometimes a wire will come loose if the stranded wire from the fixture is wrapped all the way around a solid house wire. The solution is to gently bend the bare tip of the solid wire in a soft s shape so that the stranded wire does not completely wrap around the solid wire when the wire nut is twisted. (I know that you said the sensor red light is coming on but the additional load of the floodlights' current may not flow if there is a loose connection, very little current needs to flow to operate the sensor.) i have a question about heath zenith motion sensor light.i put up two new Heath Zenith Motion Sensor Light Control the i buy from home depot tie into switch leg. When i put in on test it work fine stay on for a few second them off, but when i set up on automatic Time-1min.\ Dual Brite-off \ Lamp Mode-Normal light go off and them come back on for the rest of the nigh long and go off morning time. Any body have this problem?

If new, then it could be faulty. If old, then may have water damage.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Light switch is turned off.
2. Flood lamp is loose or burned out.
3. Fuse is blown or circuit breaker is turned off.
4. Daylight turn-off is in effect.

6. Light control aimed in wrong direction.

SOLUTION
1. Turn light switch on.
2. Check flood lamp and replace if burned out.

This problem is not that uncommon and here are the main reasons for the issue. Cleaning the sensor regularly can help keep it operating properly. Another possibility for a light that is constantly on is the sensor is too near another object-reposition the sensor so it's away from any conflicting objects.
Some motion lights come with a metal lamp protector to keep light from leaking through the reflectors, check to see if your lights use this type of protector and install them if they're not attached.

Small critters are the usual suspect for the motion detector triggering the light when you don't see any reason for the light to be turned on. Reduce the sensitivity and range on the motion detector so it will only turn on when a large object approaches close to the sensor. You can also try repositioning the sensor slightly higher so it will miss small animals on the ground, but be careful not to position it so high that it misses children or adults who may walk by it. Rain wind and snow also effect these light and their sensor simply wear out too quickly. Some models of the Zenith brand were covered under a lifetime warranty but I can't say which models that were covered, so if you have your reciept and warranty you might want to check on that. The security sensors are replaceable with a model sl-5315 which can be purchased at the local hardware stores.

Here are a few things for you to check: 1) make sure your unit is sealed. Any holes or openings in the unit's casing will affect operation. 2) you may need to readjust the unit's sensitivity. There may be an adjustment pod or jumper inside the detector to reduce sensitivity. 3) make sure the unit is mounted securely. If the wind causes the detector to move, even slightly, this could be the cause of your problem.

Are there any other lights nearby that could be shining on the photocell of the sensor light? If the controller thinks that it's daytime, then the LED will flash to show that it is detecting motion, but the lights won't come on. Put the batteries in the door chime. To transfer an MP3 to the door chime, connect it to a computer with a USB cable. Open the folder to view files and drag the new (short, <= 20 seconds long) tune into the folder. Eject the door chime (like any USB hard drive) and remove the USB cable from the door chime. Next press the Tune button to cycle through the tunes on the door chime for the front door chime. Stop when the desired tune is played. That will be played any time the front chime is pressed. If you add the jumper to pin 8, the door chime will ding as that is the rear rear door sound. For the front door, make sure that the switches (1-7) on the push button match those for the door chime.
