you need to reset the waste ink absorber,your absorber is full
Turn on the machine
Press MENU
Press SCAN COPY SCAN to enter service mode
USE > to got to NVRAM ACCESS

on the side of where the cartridge is mounted there is a release that allows the door to open. well its broken not allowing it to open thus the cartridge will not go far enough to open. its on either side in front.

Mak sure the scan drivers are installed on your PC. They are different than the print driver. Then push the scan button and then choose either the color or black button.

You might add more information to your question, but a general approach to this sort of thing is to unplug the device, let it sit for 10 minutes or more, then plug it back in and try it again. sounds like the gearing is out of sync. When you remove debris did you force any of the geared rods? some times if a printer has been jammed by debris i.e. your paper clip, the gearing gets out of sync as gears jump teeth. In the past I've rectified this problem by rotating gearing manually. Its a hit and miss method. try it " WITH NO POWER " to the printer. Put a sheet of paper in tray and rotate gearing by hand and watch closely all movement, pick up rollers, paper feed, head movement path etc. you'll get a feel for it . once you get paper feeding manually try it with power. good luck.
