Check that the noise is NOT a funtion of an "effect" that the MAIN runs through. Do you hear it via the main amps or is it just in the headphones from the main? Pressing a PFL for a channel should bring ONLY that channel into the headphones UNLESS other PFL's are down... and NOT affect the main. Something is not clear here.

Check the inserts and pan controls.

Unfortunately there is no audio input on most laptops so you need another solution. You can use a simpler RCA to USB input like a Behringer U-Control USB Audio Interface (UCA222) but this will require you to make of buy a couple of 1/4" to RCA cables, watch the level though. If you are looking for something more pro then I would suggest something like a BehringerU-PHORIA UMC204HD which has XLR inputs and is better suited for your mixer. There are other companies that make audio to USB interfaces, M-Audio, Focusrite etc, but they are not cheap

Unit needs to be serviced by qualified technician. If you have some knowledge and experience, do this...use a Freeze spray (available at your electronic parts dealer) and freeze the effects related parts 1 at a time till they come back. No Freeze spray? When stops working, physically feel related components immediately for excessive heat.

Probably one of your PFL switches is stuck in ON. If not, the digital decoder went kaput. Also could be your +5V power rail, that one powers the digital stuff... Good luck.

Probably the volume control is flakey, There will probably be a slot in the control body, spray some contact cleaner or WD 40 into the slot and work the volume back and forth. If there are any other controls do them also.That should take care of the problem. Getting to the control is your problem I am not familiar with that model.

Usually is because the signal exceed the input limit of the ampli. I don't know which ampli do you use, but it should be a pro ampli with balanced inputs correctly able to manage +4 dB professional signals. Try not to exceed 0dB in the master section of your mixer and let me know.

Hi Terence! Check your Amp Frequency Ratings and also your power supply. Increase the high levels gradually until cut-off. Try reducing your output level at the EQ to match the Input Level at the AMP. What Brand & Model Amp is it plugged into? Here is a link to EQ manual of operation.
