cant seem to get the power light working on the sonic hub. red to power, yellow to power, black earth etc...diagrams looks simple? however no joy

Tranducers must not connected while the system is ON. They are hi-frequency sound emitting devices, connecting it when the mother unit is LIVE, will make the transducer drive inside the device to fail. Here that has been happend I thinks. Just reset the system to its factory settings.

1* Press MENU'MENU'? to SYSTEM SETUP'ENT'? to RESET OPTIONS'ENT

2* The unit asks if you want to reset all the options. Press ? to

YES'ENT. All options are reset, and the unit reverts back to the Map

Page at the 4000 mile zoom range. (Any recorded sonar logs or GPS
data will be unchanged.)

If this process do not help you, your GPS need service. We can't get any schematic diagrams or sevice manuals of GPS devices, as security reason, they will not be published. You must have contact the Lowrance Authorised Service centere at your town to get this device repaired. OK.

Fishhunter12, Since you seem to be between a rock and a hard place, I contacted Lowrance in Tulsa, OK and briefly explained your situation. They are more than willing to help you over the phone. Call them at 1-800-628-4487. Explain your situation again, as you may not get the same person I spoke with. In addition, it would be advantageous, that you are on your boat, with the GPS ON, when you call. That way, when they take you through the step by step operation, you can be doing it at the same time. Also, take in consideration any time differences from where you're calling from to Tulsa, OK. You can contact them Monday - Friday, from 8:30 am - 4:45pm Central Standard Time (CST).

If yes and it failed then the firmware is corrupted. Since you are no longer able to boot you will not be capable of fixing it yourself - the unit must be dismantled, the firmware chip accessed directly at hardware level and rewritten with a new firmware. This is a job only the main service shop of a dealer can do, you will have to send it to them.
If your unit is out of warranty you should call them before that, otherwise you might find out that it would have been cheaper just to discard this one and buy a brand new unit.

Hello

Go outdoors to an area free from obstructions, such as large buildings and trees.

Turn on your gps by holding down the "Power" button.

Look at the signal icon, in the upper left-hand corner of the touchscreen. Once outdoors, your Gps will pick up a satellite signal. This may take up to 40 minutes. The signal icon is a series of five bars, progressively getting bigger as you move from left to right. When the unit has a good satellite signal, the bars will be shaded green. When the unit does not have a good satellite signal, the bars will either be red, indicating a poor signal, or white, indicating no signal at all. If you don't acquire a signal,

Turn the unit off. Slide the battery cover, located on the back side of the Gps, downward to remove it. Remove the batteries. Leave them out of the unit for 60 seconds to perform a soft reset. Reinsert the batteries and replace the battery cover. Repeat steps 1 through 3.

If the gps still wont find a signal then try removing the SD Card. Then with the unit turned off (and SD card out) press the reset button with a paperclip for 10 seconds.Then put back the SD Card.

Contact lowrance customer support if the unit still will not acquire a signal. If your unit is still under warranty, the company will have you ship the unit back to its facility for repair.

Hi, the stop light means there is a short somewhere as you have already said which means you have to trace the wires to see where the short problem is emanating from.... That is the only way to rectify the short problem, you need to trace out all the wires to detect it which makes it a very tedious work..
