Have lost all my photos from my samsung digimax v800 camera card

I have had success with this... Download the photo recovery program http://www.asoftech.com/apr/You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Does any 2.5 lcd samsung screen fit a Samsung V800 camera

Sorry, but for every camera, even from the same brand, they make special screens. In one brand, only when the housing of two camera's are the same you could have a chance the displays are the same. But even then you can't have any warranty on that, because they could look the same, but could have different resolution, making it impossible to exchange then from one to an other camera.

I have windows 8 on my laptop and it doesn't seem to be compatible with my Samsung digimax v800. is there a way round this?

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

also look carefully maybe its damaged physically...or maybe the slot has something inside...like a strange object or so .... .....or you just used another card...or if now seams smaller...it used to have an adapter for it ...

Is there a firmware update

No. The differences between SD and SDHC goes beyond what firmware can change. It's possible to design a device to use both SD and SDHC cards, but a device that was only designed for SD cards cannot use SDHC cards without hardware changes.

How do i change my aperture setting on my samsung

Turn the mode dial to "A". Turn the jog dial to change the aperture and the camera will change the shutter speed to match. You can also go to the manual mode, where you have to set both the aperture and shutter speed.Full details are in the "How to use the APERTURE PRIORITY mode" section of the manual (page 22 in my copy). If you need a copy of the manual, you may download one here.

Mac

That depends on what you want to do with the pictures. For basic cataloging and organizing, iPhoto comes with the Mac. Adobe Photoshop is the gold standard for photo editing (and costs a pocketful of gold). Photoshop Elements is a much less expensive alternative. Either Apple Aperture or Adobe Lightroom form a nice bridge between basic cataloging and heavy-duty editing. It all depends on what you want to do, and how you want to do it.
