Hi there,
You probably have set up some kind of security, and this is where I cant help you as I cant get into your router.
But, when you connect to your router to find out, USE A CABLE, do NOT connect wireless.
You may also find the wireless setup in your dell 6000, but you password and key code will most likely bee a row af stars.

Problem with modem
If the Online LED on your modem is red, it means that it is not synchronized with the connection that you have from your Internet provider.
Try to reset the modem by holding its reset button for 30 seconds then power it off. After 10 seconds, power it on and observe the Online LED.
If you also have a username and password from your Internet provider, you may set those on the modem configuration.

Speedstream router 2623 doesn't work
it could be possible that the router is just not in sync with the modem. you can try to power cycle the devices first by turning them off. then turn on your modem first, wait for all the necessary lights to turn on, then the router and then the computers. check if you'll be able to connect to the internet again. if not, you may need to access the router's page to check if it's properly configured or not.
hope this'll help you and just ask me if you'll have other concern
ciao!

Do I need an ethernet adapter with the siemens 587 router?
1. Test your system with another ethernet card to be sure of the status of your ethernet adapter.
if it works fine that means all is well,if not update the neworking protocols on your computer so that it would be compatible with the routers TCP/IP net. protocol

Can this be used with a MAC?
Any router will work, TCP/IP is a network standard, definately double check the cables. Your DSL modem is usually 192.168.254.254. and the router is usually 192.168.1.1. Check your documentation for the default IP. Once you know it type it in to the broswer in your Mac. Before doing so connect with an ethernet cable, purchase a new one if necessary. Connect from the <--> labeled port on the mac, or ethernet port. These wires are not like phone lines, they have 8 wires instead of 4/6. The router usually has ports on the back labeled 1, 2, 3, 4, and WAN. the 1-4 ports are LAN and that is also labeled on there. Plug the mac into port 1 and any other computers in after you get internet. once the physical connection is recognized. Go to your browser in the mac and proceed. if you get a web based router configuration page your router is working, then make the WAN connection to the ethernet port on the back of the dsl mode. Be sure your cables are good. Also go to your control panel and make sure your internet is enabled in your network section.

Siemens Speedstream 2624
Find the reset button on the rear panel of the wireless device and follow the factory reset instructions below:
1. Power Off the router.
2. Hold the Reset Button down while you Power On the router.
3. Continue holding the Reset Button until the Status (Red) LED blinks TWICE.
4. Release the Reset Button.
The factory default configuration has now been restored, and the Router is ready for use.
The DSL/Cable Router's default IP Address is 192.168.254.254
To establish a connection from your PC to the DSL/Cable Router:
1. After installing the DSL/Cable Router in your LAN, start your PC. If your PC is already running, restart it.
2. Start your Web browser.
3. In the Address box, enter "HTTP://" and the IP Address of the DSL/Cable Router, as in this example, which uses the DSL/Cable Router's default IP Address: HTTP://192.168.254.254
The first time you connect to the DSL/Cable Router, the Setup Wizard will run automatically. (The Setup Wizard will also run if the Router's default settings are restored.)
This should get you in the right direction.
