My navagation system keeps saying
Hi,
the the problem is from the laser (lens) of your navigation
system. It cannot read disk because the laser (lens) is weak or dirty.
Its
might also be that the disk you inserted into the system has some
scratches or the disc is bad. Try several discs on the system.
If problem still persists after trying several discs, get the laser replaced and it should read disk again.
Good luck.
I have a 2005 jeep
If you need to remove the head unit, have a look at the removal guides at www.carheadunit.co.uk
I have 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and have SAME
i think the issue with all these problems is that the fan in the back of the navigation system fails and then the disc overheats tremendously (mine overheated to the point that I could not touch it) and then it can not be read.
Navigation CD will not read.
Eject the disc, use a little water and a soft towel to clean it. The discs occasionally get dusty being in a car and such. be careful when cleaning though, as MOPAR will charge you several hundred $$ for a replacement one.
I need antitheft security code for my factory fitted by jeepradio
If you go to any authorized jeep dealer you can typically get the code with little more than the vehicles registration. If the vehicle was purchased from a used lot they may or may not have access to the codes. The jeep dealer will most likely charge a service fee. Good luck, hope this helps.
Can I find the radio code for a chrysler grand
Hi,
To get this code generally you need two pieces of information
1) The serial number of the radio. (you will need to remove the radio to find it on a sticker - usually at the back of the case).
2) The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) from the log book of the vehicle.
With this information you need to contact the dealer to retrieve the code from their database. Some dealers charge - some do not so it is worth ringing around to check this.
In some countries it is possible to retrieve the code directly from the license plate without the serial number of the radio but again this is dealer dependant and you need to check this directly with them.
If the information is helpful please leave a vote for it. Thanks.
