i got a couple of them and i have them talking really good for what they are. if you go inside you can turn up the pods also you can take a small screwdriver and spread those coils inside near the back of cb!

its an inside job .

right next to the external out put of the external speaker is a similer plug .It says PA. set the plug in the outlet and push on it to make sure it goes in and now you have PA.

you shouldn't be able to but if you do then take it to a tech and explain it to him and he should be able to fix it.

It could be lots of things, display is failing, resistor network to display is bad, or cold solder joints, cable to display, driver to display going bad or caps bad, or maybe menu is set to low for display, need to see rig to decide.

before I give you an answer is it just coming on and going off or is it staying on? you have the wx channel on that radio and when it receives power from any device to the radio the wx channel will come on and turn off immediately.Nothing wrong with the radio it is just a pain in the rear ,thats all.

sounds to me you have to low voltage/ amps...try testing your power source with a meter the ultra is ideal @ 13.8 VOLTS

turn VR2 all the way to the side that makes your modulation full.

find DM1 and clip it. then you will have full modulation.

Have your SWR's checked. Free at most shops. it will make it should bad if they are high. although you may be able to hear. if they are high your RX will improve also..once its corrected. other problem could be its been bounced around/vibrations can cause the verticle boards to come loose on those models, and can effect either "IF" function, TX functions or RX functions... or all if they are all 3 loose.. if need more help just ask
