Press and hold MODE and then press PRESET 1 to turn on or off the clock display priority. This should allow you to set if the clock stays on while the unit is off. Aside from this, you may need to double check your wiring, specifically the RED and BLUE wires. The RED needs to be connected to a switched source of power and not directly to your battery/etc. It needs to be a source that is only ON when you want it to be ON (such as the ignition on wire). The YELLOW wire is the only one that should be connected directly to your battery. Double check the BLUE wire is connected correctly to your AMP as the AMP running all the time would kill a car battery overnight where-as the stereo clock display alone should take many days to kill a properly functioning car battery.

A couple of things here. The yellow wire isn't for an amp; the blue wire is. The yellow wire should be connected to constant power. Secondly, that truck may have a factory amp, in which case you have to connect the blue wires to the remote for that amp, or it will light up, but you will never get any sound.

Yes, there should be a 3.5mm connector on the unit (same connector as your iPod headphones jack)

sounds like a logic glitch . the last time i saw this the customer tried resetting. it worked ok for a little while but he ended up buying a new deck because the problem never went away

Got to the following lik for your manual: http://www.dualav.com/i/product/manual/xd7500.pdf Refrence page 6 for instructions. With the unit off, press open to allow the front panel to slide down. Genetly squeeze the release tab located on the bottom center underside and pull faceplate down and away from unit to remove. To install insert left side faceplate first then push right side to secure. Hope this Helps L8R

It will be much easier if you go to your local auto parts or stereo dealer and ask them for an installion harness. This will make your headache go away and much easier to do. Good Luck.

Fired internal part, if you have a warranty send it in, otherwise maybe get some led light to point at the screen to illuminate it

Go to wall-mart or your local autoparts store. Mounting plate is usually $10-$15. Wire harness $8-$12.
You will also need the mounting sleave that the stereo slides and locks into. If you bought it new you have it. If you don't have one, get one you'll need it.

you dont need the blue if its on a chevy
