Furuno GP1650DF GPS Receiver Questions & Answers
Gps antenee not recieving signals
please do check the terminal connector of the gps to the antenna
connector cable there should be is a voltage reading of 5 volt dc on the gps using a multitester.if the answer is no then your gps receiver
is out of order.if 4 volt to almost 5volt that should be
be ok..next step is to check the gps antenna cable connector
to the gps antenna using multitester a for short or open connection.set the tester to x1 and calibrate setting then test
short cable should reading full almost zero on the scale, open has almost
no resistance at all.a good gps antenna will read a difference
of forward and reverse resistance reading i cannot tell u the actual reading
of the antenna because it all depend on the length of the cable
and the gps antenna model.but it usually work if u test it this way
please do take note that u are very sure of your setting on the
gps it self before u make this test.
good luck

Depth sounder problem
If the transducer is mounted off of level, an error is introduced due to angle. It is a fixed percent offset, say 10%. so 10 feet reads 11 and 100 reads 110. There is an offset function to read depth below ducer, depth below keel, and depth below waterline, but these are fixed amounts in feet, not a percentage. Look at the transducer when it is operating, boat angle considered.
