hi, can you please mention which game system do you want to connect with the tv. Also check one more thing is there is any AV inputs in the back side of the tv. It will be written there AV IN if its there.Ajin

The only solution is to get a full service type universal remote, if you cannot have the original. Logitech and One-For-All make excellent universal remotes for a reasonable cost.

There is the possibility that; (1) the horizontal output Transistor has shorted out. (2) the horizontal driver transistor and last but not least (3) the H output transformer.

If you have a Isolation variable power supply meter, connect the tv set to the meter. Slowly raise the voltage to 70 to 90 volts ac, but, keep an eye on the amp meter. If the amp meter rises sharply to mid poit while adjusting the meter to 70 volts..stop...you have a "dead short". The set needs trouble shooting and the short(s) eliminated to solve your problem.

If you manage to raise the voltage to 70, turn the set on and raise the voltage to 90 vac. The set should come on, but, the pic will not be that great. This will tell you that you either have a problem with the H driver, a cap, or the H transformer.

YES!! the setup of some units are done only by REMOTE you could try a UNIVERSAL remote but they don't allways provide all the programming features...

You just try one amoung the following four digit codes. Proceedings are given. If one code does not work , try the other one, but after switching Off your TV by mains, and swich it on after some times, say 30 seconds of more. Only these much codes are available with me at this time.

Proceedings

1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

If after trying "Direct Code Entry" your device does not respond, or if your brand is not listed, try doing a search of the code library for your code by following these steps.

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

If your remote does not have a menue to access auto channel programing, look for it on the TV itself. It may be hiding behind a small panel door, usually toward the bottom of the tv.Once you find it you may have to figure out how to bring the screen up that has programing feature. The screens usually can be brought up by channel or volume controls. Once the auto programing feature appears you push or press ok. If that does not work you should be able to manually key in each channel, one at a time. There as many variations as tvs. Hope this helps. Good luck. Larry

Thats EXACTLY what happened to our tv!

Ours was originally locked on channel 4 but I left it unplugged overnight and now its oddly stuck on channel 3.

The only thing I can think of to do is try to search for/buy a remote that will work on the tv to bring the menu up again. I don't know how to manually reset it or do anything.

I did not get who the manufacture was of the tv but you may want to see if one or more of
the menue buttons are stuck down on the tv's front panel. This has been a common cause of
problems with Mitsubishi and Sony tv's. It could also cause volume to go up by it's self, no menue
functions, no power up and or no remote control functions to work.

When I had Dish hooked up I had to use chanel 3 on my television or the video inputs. The Dish box will take care of all the stations that yor receive. You shouldn't have to change chanels with your tv.

for an unknown passwrod try, go to parental control in menu then push mute,pisplay,clear,reset buttons in sequence. you may need to borrow a friends remote to do this. once in you can change your setting. good luck
