How do I program a GE remote universal to a Symphonic TV codes
SYMPHONIC 0053 0189 0227 0456 0024. These are the codes. First turn on TV. Depends on which model GE remote you have. Some have either program or setup button. In that case you hold down tat button until it blinks or stays lit. Then you hit TV button. Enter the code. Some will then accept codein which case you can hit power button to turn it off. If it goes off code worked. Sometimes a code will work but not all functions do. If thst happens try a different code.
Can't change channels or change input on GE universal remote. Volume works and can turn TV on and off with remote
So I realize this question is a little old but I've spent a half hour online trying to find the answer for myself. FINALLY I found a useful one and it was simple. Just set the remote up again using a different code. If you no longer have the code list you can find one online. I just used the first one that turned my TV on as instructed and thought for a year it was just a cheap remote until I accidentally changed the input on my other TV. Turns out, multiple codes work for your TV but some codes work better than others because of the frequencies they program. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.
Search the site by type in the "
brand name" to your device; to which you want set-up codes; in the "
Search box at the top right of the display window" to get gathered related posts.

My GE profile Advantium microwave will not power on. Fuses checked.
Cause 1
Line Fuse
If too much current passes through the microwave circuitry, the line fuse will blow. If the line fuse blows, the microwave won't start. To determine if the line fuse is at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the fuse does not have continuity, replace it. In addition, you should investigate and resolve the problem that caused the fuse to blow. If you don't resolve the underlying issue, the new fuse will blow too. (Caution: The microwave oven can store thousands of volts of electricity in its high voltage capacitor, even after the microwave oven has been unplugged. Due to the potential for electric shock, it is extremely dangerous to replace the electronic components in a microwave. Only a licensed technician should replace the line fuse.)
Cause 2
Main Control Board
The main control board might be defective. However, this is rarely the case. Control boards are often misdiagnosed-check all of the more commonly defective parts. If you have determined that all of the other components are working properly, replace the main control board.
