Comfort Zone CZ1500WC Infra-Red Utility/Portable Heater - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

nothing works

Pulled side covers and followed the power to switch with small red button. Had power on 1 side none on other. Pressed little button and started working

turn on heater ao5 comes on hit temp switch clicks but goes back and forth from ao5 to temp degree is it the printed circuit board please email at [email protected]

There have been problems I have heard about these heaters take it back it should be under warranty .

if unit runs ok for 3 to five minutes then completely shuts all power lamps off , then its hi temp limit sensor (safety) has been tripped , this usually goes out due to failure of main temp control , in point of fact contacts in temp switch literally weld them self's together and cant separate to allow heater to control temp

FYI...I have a customer that brought his Comfort Zone CZ2011C to me for service. It does exactly the same thing, just powers off after a few minutes of operation. I contacted the company and receive no help at all telling me that repair parts are unavailable. Really??? Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in over 29 yrs of appliance repair....

Sounds like a bad control board... maybe swollen/leaky electrolytic capacitors.

It's probably some swolen electrolytic capacitors that need replacing. If you know of an electronic shop close by or buddy that can solder maybe you can remove the pcb and take it to them. Radio Shack may stock the caps.

It either has a short in the wiring or may need a new PCB

does it come on after a few hours? or the next day? all heater have safety fuses in them that sense the temperature near the heating element and will shut down the power to the element to prevent fire. however these things fail some times on the side of caution. It is possible the air flow is not enough or the fuze is faulty

There is probably a problem with the wiring. Either there is a short or a wire has become disconnected. You can probably open the heater up (carefully) and see what is wrong. If you aren't feeling comfortable with that, bring it in to a repair shop. Elisa Jed ' http://www.orlandoac.com/

What is wrong with my Comfort furnace, If it will not turn of when i push the off butting ?And even after that i unplug it and turn it back on ,it still comes on and will not go of like it use to with the temp control !!

What is wrong with my Comfort Furnace heater if i have it turned off and it still keeps blowing ,Yet if i plug it back in it still comes on and i can turn it way down with it down on 55 and it will not shut of like it use to?

Hold the two buttons on right with power on to reset.
