Samsung SyncMaster 2333SW 23" LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
Increase in brightness & sometimes switch to "negative" momentarily
he Dell I'm using also has an adaptive brightness, regardless of the fact it does not have a light sensor. It just changes brightness of the screen depending on how much white/black is shown at that moment. Whenever I switch from a very dark to a very bright website I notice and increase/decrease in screen brightness. I'm running Windows 7 by the way.
Good Luck

Hello,
This problem usually indicates a failure of the power supply board that runs the video control board. You can fix it but if your unit is only 1.5 years old then its still under warranty, 3 years parts and labor. Go to www.samsung.com and go to the service section to start a warranty claim. It takes about 2 weeks to go out and back to you.

Most common failures in these LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply. C242 470uF 10V, C241 & C242 1000uF 16V, C261 & C319 680uF 35V failed, replace them at once.

My monitor is fuzzy in internet
Fuzzy on the internet and everything else or fuzzy just on the internet? check for monitor resolution and see if you have the screen resolution set right. If you have the resolution set too low, the screen can appear more fuzzy if the aspect ratio is not set right.

Monitor shuts down abruptly and
Hello,
Doesn't sound like its an issue with your computer itself, but just to be sure you can test it by hooking another monitor, and seeing if the same issue happens using a different monitor. My guess however is that there is a problem with your monitor. If a monitor loses connection it will say something along the lines of no source.
Monitors can be serviced, but generally it is cheaper just to replace them. I prefer to use newegg.com

Welcome to Fixya
First this to check if the graphics card is the one doing this. Test the issue usng different monitor. if same thing will happen then you nee to replace the video card or have the driver resintalled. If you are not experiencing this problem using a different monitor then you have a problem with your LCD. Try to drain the elctrostatic charge of the LCD's mainboard. Unplug the power cord from the wall and press and hold the power button for 15 secs. Plug it back in then turn on the monitor. if same thing will happen then you need to have the LCD serviced by samsung tech.

My samsung syncmaster 2333 monitor
You can fix it if you have electronics knowledge and proper tools.
Service manual:

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed Samsung monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.
