Hi, This sounds like it is not a problem with the remote, but more like the channels have been "skipped" in the tuning menu of your TV.
To Fix, enter the tuning menu on your TV and set the "skip" or "clear" to OFF for all the channels you want to watch, then the program+ & - buttons should then work for you

Someone stole the head unit from me and left the brain and wires.

A button may be stuck?  You can take the remote controller apart to see if any buttons are stuck.

Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds

It should say on machine, how old is it? Explain more details please.

1, put disc into player
2, shut down player with src button
3, reboot player using src button and hold in play/pause button untill disc plays unregioned disc

This should make it multiregion but it won't stay multiregion i don't think. I can't find a pernament code anywhere for this player and i don't think one exists and i think you'll just have to use this everytime you want to play a different region disk. Sorry i couldn't help more.

The region code is burned in to the firmware of the player. If this is an independent DVD unit for your TV set and not a computer, the firmware for this may be with the main circuit board, and not the drive itself. This is based on the particular design.

If you search around net using search engines, you may be able to find some kind of code or patch that you can enter in to your DVD player. With these types of patches, if they are not factory approved there is no guarantee that they will reliably work, or not cause other types of faults.

You might try to get ahold of them to see if there is a way to change the code that they simply have not documented. Failing that, perhaps they will be gratuitous enough to help you exchange it for a product that will function properly in your location.
