My Motorola DCT6200 Flashing Hunt & a series of F's & Numbers.
motrola 6200 fllashing hunt and when i reset i get E609, according to customer service that provided me with this box, they say the box is diffective and that something is wrong internaly, i'm a cable technician myself and after every test known to us my cable is new, minimum resitance im getteing great levels to my box. i have to beleve custumer service at this point and swaped the box, softboot(unplug power) and hardboot(unplug power while holding down power+select and while still holding the two buttons plug in power and wait till the front of the disply to blink 0000 usualy takes 5seconds after you plug it in, once blinking 0000 release buttons.) after a hardboot you need to call the service provider to re-initialise the box, make sure its not just a zap,(re-initialising means removing the serial number from the account and re-entering it just like the first time its installed) if this does'nt fix it, you need to change it, if it does great. if not you need another box. 90% of the problems issued on motorola 6200,6208,3416 boxes a hard boot will fix, note pvr's and dualtunners will loose saved movies and shows on the harddrive when hardbooted. this will also work in desired conditions, meaning your cable is rg6 cable. not damaged or bent severely, no store splitters, you need a splitter made for digital equipment, meaning there is a electonic board inside, cheap splitters are just sauded together and the communication is not well transfered.. if there is no reason for the cable to have suffered any damage, connectors are properly done, and spitters are provided from the cable company. then its your box.
hope this helps everyone that ever experienced this in the future.
