Tv turns off after about 5 minutes
I looked for that model but it isent in my data banks?? You should try to get a service schematic on the set first. Next look in the power supply and find the power supply main regulator IC. Hook up a meter to the output pin and turn the set on. If the voltage is slightly exceding the value of the IC wait and see what happens . Now right before the set shuts down, does the voltage swing high?? If it does its the IC. It should be a 125 to a 135 volt regulator and if it goes higher then 130 to 140 its bad as I said. If this voltage dosent change then the problem is in the High voltage section. Find the sweep Ic and locate the x-ray protection pin. Monitor the voltage on that and see if the voltage swings high when the set shuts down. I it does your gonna need to check out parts in the horizontal sweep circuit and if you got a scope use it. But remeber always use an isolation transformer when trouble shooting these sets or the meter or scope could blow out the power supply . Good Luck and Be carefull

No power to my Hitachi 42hdm12
Hi,
If even trying the TV in another known good outlet, it still doesn't work, do a hard/full reset - turned off via master power or unplug for a couple of hours.
If all else fails, maybe you should seek the services of a qualified professional since this involves opening the unit, circuitry diagnosing and board/component repair/replacement.
Hope this be of some help/idea.Post back how things are or should you need further information.
Good luck and kind regards.

PANASONIC TV, TH-42PX60
If it's just one video plug, then perhaps you have to set av5 as being in colour somwhere in the menus. If you require three wires for the pictures, as blue, green, and red, then make sure they aren't in the wrong ports.
Good luck.

Random Side Panel Inputs
You either have a bad Main board or simply a bad touch control button in other word one of your side buttons is defective and it is blocking any other signal to the main board, but usually its a bad main board. In some cases ther is a FIRMWARE update from Panasonic, you may want to call Panasonic or check there website for any type of FIRMWArE UPDATE.
