My first guess is that you have a problem with your electrical system. I would look at the battery cables first. Any corrosion or loose connections could cause these symptoms. Both the positive and negative cables need to be inspected (from end to end). What tests have you run? What have you inspected so far? check your distributor rotor it is the white thing under your distributor cap if the ends are blackesh brown its burnt up i was getting a misfire because of that

you have a short some wheres in you electrical with windows and doors not working its probably in that wire supply some wheres check your fuses also.

The catalytic converter is not necessarily the problem, has the fuel pressure been tested? Low pressure gives the same symptom. Modern converters don't plug up like the old style "bead/pellet" design.

this is actually an easy to fix solution, go down to your local parts store, or even walmart. what your looking for is a aftermarket radio adapter harness, this will allow you to connect your new stereo without having to cut wires or worry about if you got the right one in the right place. hope i could help, and good luck

This vehicle has a seperate amplifier for the radio.
Please check fuses #13 (5Amp blue) in the Driver's side dash panel fusebox.... and fuse #3 (25A) under the hood passenger side fusebox.

If there is no sound - the amplifier is not getting voltage - blown - or in protect mode from a blown speaker - in which case further investigation is required.
