I have sync'd my archos

Hi

chances are your problems related to the virus, because there are viruses that hide the true file and show only an empty folder or shortcut. I suggest you make copies of the computer is 100% free of virus activity and if possible, do the reset to factory settings on the device (Archos) or you can scan your device by using anti-virus.

regards

The screen comes on but

Screen being white sounds like a bad connection on the display panel on the device unfortunately. I suggest contacting the manufacturer for a warranty repair if it is new.

Not recognized by my laptop

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you. Your computer is not recognizing your Archos Vision A14VG Digital Media Player? The computer should be able to recognize it because your digital media player is compatible with the three major operating systems: Windows, Mac and Linux. Maybe a Firmware or driver update will help.
  1. First, make sure your laptop has USB 2.0 hi-speed ports installed on it (If you are not sure if these are installed on your laptop, check your laptop's user manual).
  2. Connect your Archos to your laptop.
  3. On your laptop, go into Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers group. Double click each device in that group until you find your digital media player.
  4. Update the driver.
  5. If it doesn't need an update, click try uninstalling the driver then reinstall it again.
If the computer still doesn't recognize your device, Try these websites to see if the device may need a firmware or driver update from there.

http://driverwhiz.com/drivers-en?brand=Archos&logo=Archos&subid=1001-us-en-10000048213&gclid=COOT2e-vgakCFYg32g but with with with oduyB-Sw

If your computer is still not recognizing it, try connecting your device to a desktop PC. If the desktop PC recognizes your device, then the problem is coming from the USB ports on your laptop. They may not have the amount of power needed for the device to connect to your laptop. If the PC desktop doesn't recognize the device, then the problem is that one of the drivers in the Archos is defective (not working anymore). Once that happens, the only way the device can work again is if the defective driver gets replaced. If your warranty for the product is still in effect, send the product back to its manufactuer and have them look at it. I hope this is just a driver updating issue. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you with your problem. Have a good day evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this.

Well,i put my archos on to listen to music and it

Looks like file system error due to change of location or some system file missing.

In this case I'd suggest that you reset the player and remove all songs and then transfer them again to your MP3 player. It will work.

Hope this helps.

Windows 8 is and has been obsolete and unsupported for over 8 years. Time to update your OS. Linux is excellent, Ubuntu Mint is free and easy to use, the choice is yours.

Archos 605 wifi lcd screen keep turn off

If your Archos 605 WiFi LCD screen keeps turning off, it may be due to a few reasons:
  1. Battery issues: If the battery is low or has a poor connection, the LCD screen may turn off intermittently. Try charging the battery fully and checking if the problem persists.
  2. Power settings: The device may be set to turn off the LCD screen after a period of inactivity. Go to the device settings and adjust the power settings to keep the screen on.
  3. Firmware issues: If the firmware is outdated or corrupted, it may cause the LCD screen to turn off. Try updating the firmware to the latest version available.
  4. Hardware issues: If none of the above solutions work, it may be a hardware issue with the LCD screen or its connection. You may need to take it to a professional technician to diagnose and fix the problem.
I hope this helps!

It says it sdupports avi film files but it wont

Try to download VLC media player on your computer and try to play with it. If that works, you can use VLC, or you can download the K-lite codec pack for free from the internet too.
