Todd, the first thing to to do, is to remove the battery you just installed and look inside the battery holder for corrosion. If you see any, clean it off with a Q Tip sprayed with WD40. Then reinsert the battery with the Positive Tip (+) end facing you. If that didn't solve the problem, you'll need to trace down the wiring from the igniter module to each spark tip, at each burner. You want to see if all the wiring is intact and not damaged. Also, check the grounding wire from the igniter module to the grill's frame to see if it has come loose or has lost contact. If all this troubleshooting does not find a problem, it's a better than average chance that the Igniter Module will need to be replaced. You can purchase a new one from Lynx or find one online that will fit your make and model grill. Appliance Factory Parts online is a good place to find grill parts, even for discontinued models.

I'm assuming, that after you release the burner knob, the infrared burner goes out. You need to hold the knob in until the infrared burner gets glowing hot. If it doesn't remain lit after doing that, the thermocouple that keeps the burner lit, either needs cleaning due to a grease build up or replacing the thermocouple entirely. To clean it, alcohol and a cotton ball works well.

This 'adjustable plate' is known as an 'air shutter' located at the tips of the venturri tubes which are the tubes that carry the propane from the valve to the burner. These air shutters allow you to control your flame by mixing oxygen with propane to create a yellow flame to a blue flame. The perfect flame is a uniform blue flame with a small yellow tip.

Unfortunately, these air shutters are considered part of the burner itself and cannot be individually replaced. However, if the burner and venturri tubes are separate from each other, you may be able to get a replacement venturri tube without having to replace the entire burner unit.

Try replacing the regulator if you get no gas flow, or very weak gas flow. If you have gas flow and you are trying to light the grill with the ignitor. The rotary piezo ignitions must click with each turn, if they don't then they are bad and need to be replaced. If you have a new lynx with the glow plugs, check to see if they are glowing, if they are glowing and the grill has gas and still won't light, then the glow plugs are not getting hot enough which means you are leaking current somewhere and have to trace everything down to find the short.

If it starts and has low flame, you probably need a new regulator.

glo-warm doesnt sell a conversion kit since they have propane version they sell the propane unit --their are universal conversion kits but you would need to check if their compatible to the glo warm unit

Unscrew the gas igniter button and insert the battery positive end upwards. Then screw the button cap back on. A tip, don't let it rain onto that button. James, Try Reseting the Regulator..... 1. Turn off the gas at the propane tank. 2. Disconnect the hose from the propane tank. 3. Open the lid of your BBQ Grill. 4. Turn all the burner valves to high. 5. Wait for 2 minutes. 6. Turn off all the burner valves. 7. Connect the gas line back up to the propane tank. 8. Turn on the propane tank slowly. 9.
