I got a raytheon sl70 pathfinder gps that wont get

If you're using a raystar 125 antenna, you will have to power the red wire + and the shield wire - separately. Sl70's don't provide power over seatalk. Also make sure your green and brown wires are properly connected. If it's a 120 just power the red and sheild(black) and leave off the all except the yellow that's your data. If you still have nothing may probably have a problem in the antenna itself.

I have a RL70CRC display that's locked in some

Hi,
It is due to component failure you are getting this error . For hardware reset you need to disassembe the unit and reset the accessible connectors. Also check all connectors are connected properly without any loose connections .

It involves risk in opening device ,if you prior experience in working on electronic items then you go with disassembling and accessing the connector .

Hope this helps .

If you have any queries ,feel free to ask .

Can you shorten a radar cable

No you should not, it is made in a thing called "Wave Lengths" it is made to be a special number of WL long to avoid and stop "Reflections" of the signal. I guess if you can find a formula that you can calculate the exact length, then you could do that i guess.

Can a Raymarine SL70 screen be replaced, mine has

You may be able to send it in to Raymarine however you need to call to be sure. The older models are often abandoned and they may not work on them any longer.

Wiring of seatalk instruments

OK, you are confused. Seatalk is a bus system, using 3 wires , (power +, power-, and Data.) red, bare and yellow repectively. So Red and Bare are 12V and ground. Since the 125 shows a green light, it is getting power and outputting data. but is it seatalk?? to make a 125 Seatalk, you must hook red and green together to 12 V, so check that first. if green is grounded or not connected, that is the problem (or one of them)
Next divide system to its' simplest terms, so hook the GPS straight to the display ST60, and see if it works red to rd, yell to yell and bare to bare (sometimes black) One by one hook the others into the chain until they all work or failed device takes down Seatalk network. If you are missing 12V on a seatalk leg, check 5A fuse in course computer. If you have a pilot, you have a course computer, unless it is ST4000 wheel pilot, and then the brain is the display (course computer is built in to ST4000 display)
