Sony SLV-D360P DVD Player/VCR - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My dvd locked in the
Open the door to the DVD.. You will see a white plastic wheel inside with "teeth"- like a gear. Use something small to turn the wheel to the right. When it feels like it won't go any further give it a little extra turn and the drawer should pop open. Make sure you are turning it to the right (clockwise)
There was a power outage
Hello,
Very commonly when the power goes out the memory on the VCR blanks out. Therefor you will have to re-setup your VCR to record the programs.
Thanks

Sony blue ray player won't eject DVD
I have a new Samsung Blue Ray player. I cannot figure out how to eject the DVD. Can anyone hepl me. I do not see an eject button on it anywhere.
Power went out. won't turn on
Hi,
If your dvd player did not turn on, then,it is very possible the internal fuse burnt out. If not the fuse, then
possibly the power supply burnt out.
You can test the power supply with a
voltmeter.
Thanks.

Will not stop auto
This particular Unit will blink Auto while it's trying to set the internal clock using your cable signal. Make sure your antenna or cable source is connected to the unit before you plug in the AC power. When it is done setting the channels and time the blinking will stop and display the local time. Please refer to page 16 of your user manual.
There's no power
Inside the machine there is a small fuse that may have blown. You need to remove the cover and replace the fuse. This is an easy fix as I had the same issue with mine.

Problem
If the AC power source (outlet) is ok and the line cord and fuse are ok but the unit is completely dead, you may have a problem with the internal switching power supply.
Locate the switching power supply and see if there is a fuse on its circuit board.
Completely dead units are typically caused by a failure in the power supply section.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.
Good luck!

While rewinding, the DVD player just stopped working
Jeff/360Powner,
Tony/sonydvdvcr here,
I hope this helps. I have been unsuccessful in getting this to fix the tape player, but my sony dvd vcr slv360p unit now works and the dvd plays great. Still working on the tape part. Good Luck!
A few days ago when I was searching online for a solution to my own problem, I came across fixya. After posting the exact same problem as yourself, I began to remove the tape from the unit. Thinking I would have to cut the tape, I attempted to remove the video cassette without cutting it. I was successful. Here are the steps I took:
1. Remove the outer casing.
2. Remove the approx. 8" bar (2 screws) across the VHS entry area. (You can do with or without removing face of player. Be careful if done without)
3. Remove 4 or 5 screws in base holding the entire video assembly to floor.
4. Next, is the tricky part. First determine if the tape is one you want to salvage. If so, slide the tape film out of the roller areas where it is strewd out while it was being rewound so it is free, otherwise cut it. You will then have to pry the VHS up in the front through the entry door and push from the rear. Might have to try a few times, walk away, then try some more. But it will come free. Tension can be eased by simultaneously prying on the sidetabs holding the cassette in the player. Careful not to break tabs.
5. Once tape is free, you may be done, but I kept on in uncertainty.
6. Next I removed the entire video tape assembly by raising it off the tall pointed posts enough to clear them but not too much where you put excessive strain on the several computer bands that are attached.(I did not disconnect those, just be careful)
7. Raise the assembly off of the floor and then replace. There is a slim narrow plug style deal that is fixed to the floor that the assembly rests in. I believe this is significant to allow the player to reset.
8. Check power now before you replace everything. You should see the tape assembly physically reset and disengage from the rewind position.
9. Replace assembly and bar and face accordingly.
I hope this helps. I have been unsuccessful in getting this to fix the tape player, but my unit now works and the dvd plays great. Still working on the tape part. Good Luck!
Recording from DVR to Cassette using this?
Well, generally, you simply need a Cable of the RCA 3way A/V cable variety, usually with Red, Yellow & White RCA plugs on the end... there should be corresponding RCA Sockets on each machine.. Plug the leads in colour to colour, then insert tape in VCR and select the Auxiliary Input (Or whatever input it is actually called) to Record from... start
"Recording"
Then on the DVR start "Play" and ya should be all up & running.
What I do first, is set it up on my TV first, using the RCA sockets, set it up so it is all playing clear picture etc.. then I connect up to the VCR.
NB: There are "Other" types of "Inputs & Outputs" among them ones called "Composite Video" "S-VHS" "SCART" ALL of these have standard interconnect leads, so if on your machine you DO NOT have the RCA Sockets.. but have one of those "Other" simply procure a Male to Male Cable of that type & then simply substitute the alternate "Cable" for the "RCA" & the rest is the same.
