Hello,

Very commonly when the power goes out the memory on the VCR blanks out. Therefor you will have to re-setup your VCR to record the programs.

Open the door to the DVD.. You will see a white plastic wheel inside with "teeth"- like a gear. Use something small to turn the wheel to the right. When it feels like it won't go any further give it a little extra turn and the drawer should pop open. Make sure you are turning it to the right (clockwise)

If your dvd player did not turn on, then,it is very possible the internal fuse burnt out. If not the fuse, then possibly the power supply burnt out.

You can test the power supply with a voltmeter.

I have a new Samsung Blue Ray player. I cannot figure out how to eject the DVD. Can anyone hepl me. I do not see an eject button on it anywhere.

Hi,

If the unit is not powering on at all first check to make sure there is power coming from the AC outlet. Plug another appliance in to the outlet such as a radio or lamp to ensure the power is coming through the socket. If there is no power check that a trip switch has not been activated or mains fuse blown.

Make sure that the AC power cord to the player is securely connected. If the unit is still not powering up then I suggest you make direct contact with Sony as the unit will require service repair.

From my searches I don't think you will find it. Try going to http://www.sony.ca/view/cic_contact.htm and asking them directly for it. I can't see them saying no.

I suggest getting the original (used) from this site.

This particular Unit will blink Auto while it's trying to set the internal clock using your cable signal. Make sure your antenna or cable source is connected to the unit before you plug in the AC power. When it is done setting the channels and time the blinking will stop and display the local time. Please refer to page 16 of your user manual.

If the AC power source (outlet) is ok and the line cord and fuse are ok but the unit is completely dead, you may have a problem with the internal switching power supply.

Locate the switching power supply and see if there is a fuse on its circuit board.

Completely dead units are typically caused by a failure in the power supply section.

Inside the machine there is a small fuse that may have blown. You need to remove the cover and replace the fuse. This is an easy fix as I had the same issue with mine.
