Sony KV-32S25 32" TV Questions & Answers
Need to unplug for about 5 minutes before tv will power on
its more likely to be bad capacitors on the power board but you will need to see first, it could also need reflowing on the main av board there is a large chip on there that some times can cause this problem when it starts to come lose from the board ( hot then cold temps) there are plenty of home remedies to do this, essayist is a halogen light and make something to support it around 1 to 2 cms above the chip making sure the board is flat, leave the power on the light for an hour or 2 then let it cool down. other way is with a heat gun but you need to be careful as the plastics can melt doing it this way you need to cover them so they don't get hot.,, but check capacitors and voltage first.
I have sony kv-32s25 powers on but no picture i do
The key here is the standby light flashing. It should be flashing in a repeated count of flashes with a pause inbetween. Count the blinks and report that number here. This is a diagnostic code indicating the circuit that is having a problem. Armed with that info, we should be able to give you an idea of the problem and its solution.
Thanks,

Ntsc to pal
Not sure which question will get sent along so I have posted the response here too.
"Changing this requires a change of the tuner. There is nothing inside the set that can make this change. There are external systems that can do this, but they are expensive (multiple $100s).
Bottom line is that this would require a change in the internals of the set."

Check Horiz. output transistor = shorted?
1)replace with first quality transistor
2)solder horiz driver circuitry
3)replace shorted converter transistors (2SC4834)
4)Replace open R607 .1 ohm 1/2 w.fusible (resistor ok)
test.......T.

your picture tube is bad. rejuvenate may work ..
TV JUST SHUT OFF
Ok your going to need a VOM meter and a soldering iron (25 to 53 watt, not a soldering gun). By no sign of power Im guessing that there is no click or any kind of "electronic" noise from inside the set. Ok, safety first, unplug the set and once you open it stay away from the high voltage anode wire that goes to the CRT (picture tube). In side by the power supply locate a resistor that should be at location R607, it is colored white and has a value of 0.1 ohm. It is most likely open, if so then most likely Q601 and Q602 are shorted as well, you will have to replace them and it is very important to also replace the following (shorted or not) R644 6.8ohm I think 1/4 watt and VDR601 VDR602 and VDR603 One of them is color black and the other two are green. I think VDR601 is the black one but dont quoat me on that. Next go to the Flyback transformer largest transformer in there (roundish in shape) near it is the Horz out transister I think it is location Q591, check with your VOM to see if it is shorted, if so replace it. Once you have that done solder the pins on the flyback and the Horz drive transformer, again dont quoat me but I think it is location T503. If you have a ESR meter check the electrolytic capcapscitors.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Split screen from DVD player, cable is fine no problem
It is not clear where you say input is from cable, do you mean the Scart input to your Sony TV?
Do not use Progressive scan(p), as this is not interlaced. The normal TV requires an interlaced(i) picture of 50 half frames per second giving 25 complete pictures per second to reduce flicker.
Some TVs and projectors and all monitors accept Progressive scan.
Sony shows a split screen when DVD plays
If the new player you hooked up is causing the spit screen then you have to go into the set up menu in the DVD player and take it out of prograssive scan.. Its in the wrong fornmat for your TV set. good Luck
PS please dont forget to rate this.
Sony KV-32S25 loss of picture and sound
The set might have loose conections in the horizontal drive circuit and other overheated places in the power supply, dont use the set like that or it wii die completly and it will be more expensive.Call a technician so he can resoldered all the bad and questionable solder conections.Be safe and let a proffessional do it.Good day.
