9 standby blinks

There's a good chance you have failing electrolytic capacitors either in the power section or the inverter section or both.
Any caps in these sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it off and on, eventually it'll probably stay on, but every time you turn it off, the TV will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite to start it up and unplug it for some time and then try again.

If you aren't tech savvy, don't worry, read the rest of this solution and watch the videos.

If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are positive it's only doing ripple filtering, and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).

Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.

I found some great videos of the procedure (for many Samsungs with the same issue) on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8l0AUj8QUkg&NR=1&feature=fvwp
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7b_nTaZYcU&feature=related

As you can see, this issue spans plasma TVs, as well as large and small LCD TVs and monitors.
The parts are cheap, and skill required is minimal.

Have you tried 'hiding' the remote control? :D My neighbor had this kind of problem, it was the RC that was to blame. pointed it away from the TV and the TV worked fine. If that seems to fix the problem for you, u'll have to get a new RC. if it doesn't, it's likely that the problem is with the TV and you'll have to get it to a repair shop.

Hello
You are saying about vertical retrace lines. Thes lines will be thin and spread all over the screen at about 1 inch aprat or so, little slanted in position. There are mainly two reasons for this fault. One is vertical output Ic and its supply related. Second is related with increase in screen voltage.
You just open your TV,and adjust the screen voltage a little less, by the help of screen voltage adjuster reistor. It can be located on the picture tube base card, diretly soldered to it. If it helps no need to do anything. After adjusting the scren voltage, increse the brightness contol a little and see whether the lines are there or not. If not it is ok. If yes, you have to go to the vertical output section of your tv. Any screen voltage adjustment should be done after decresing the brightness, contrast and colour controls to its minimum. At this condition you will only see the display items only. Screen voltage is so much related to picture clarity. It must be done in a dark circustace.
If it doesn't help, that is even after the lines are there when you increase the brightness, locate the vertical output section of your TV. It will be normally on the main board, and there will be an ic for amplifying vertical sweep signals. If its supply voltage has some trouble, this type of fault may occur. As your Tv is abot ten years of age, it is quite natural, that most of the capacitors has gone value detained. It is best for you to change all the capacitors, at about 14 nos of them at the same time, as it will cost not much. Change all the capacitors around the vertical output ic is best, as you can't measure the exact value of capacitors, without a capacitance measuring meter. Also look for any bad, or loose soldering is ther to the pins of the vertical Ic. Resolder all the points around and with it by applying a little more solder. This will retify your problem. Ok

Kv32526 32" sony no picture everything else is ok

you should check the RGB, check the heater voltage from Fly back to the heater (CRT Tube), make sure there are about 5 VAC Voltage, if no damage is usually there at 1 ohm resistors, other than that the damage can be caused by any part of an abnormal color, RGB voltage not equal or one is weak or not functioning. in other words, the color Green or Red and Blue did not appear. consequently it will not appear on the screen image. the solution is to replace the CRT tube or CRT tube Recharge using special equipment recharging....

My sony tv bravia model klv 32v400A has no picture but the mauns light turns from red to green using the remote. What is the problem please?

This TV is 10 years old and probably requires a service that replaces the backlight invertor or just a power supply issue. Check to see if the light blinks. (That is the fault code and then google the result for more information).
