Sony Trinitron Kv-32xbr45 the power to house cut
You may have had a slight voltage spike either just before losing power (posible lightning strike?) or after power was restored. May be as simple as a blown fuse. If you can check yourself it should be located in the incoming power line; if you can take it to a repair shop most can find and fix cheaper than a new TV but will charge a diagnosis fee of about $50.00 to $75.00.

Turns off and blinks 7 times
The 7 blinks in sony tvs(sony errors codes) usually indicates a high voltage shutdown(tv has exceeded 33k volts) .
The power supply regulation and/or the horizontal circuits may be at fault.Unless you have a good knowledge of tv circuitry you might need the help from a local tv repairman.
Hope this help. Good luck

When I turn iot on I get no Picture . I do get a
unplug the main power cord of tv from wall outlet for three
minutes then reconnect it and check.if it still shows same blinking check out how many times the light blink.the error depends on how many times light blink.
also check if la,mp light is blinking that ,means lamp needs replacement.
------
as follows:--
if the red light gives Seven blinks - its high voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits. there are some common breakdowns in the High Voltage circuits in this set. One is the FLY BACK TRANSFORMER . Another is a small high voltage capacitor in the sweep corrction circuit. If you have no solid state repair experience with tv sets , play it safe and call in a tech to assist you in this repair.
-----
if the red light blinks 6 times then The 6 blinks indicates a poblem with the 5Volt line on the A,B or M boards. Also there could be a problem with IC504. This is most likely not a repair that should be attempted by an untrained homeowner. ------
you can get the requiredboard and components at ----- www.partstore.com -------- or from ------www.radioshack.com ----
---------
to repair the six blink code manually just click on this link directy

the cost for repairing parts is not more then $30.its not a costly problem but a technical problem.
if you are not familiarwith doing this you can get it done by local tv repair technician familiar withthis model tv.
This will help. Thanks please keepupdated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

Standby light flashing and set won't turn on.
Hi
The blink codes only
point to the area that the electronic tech should start checking. It does not
indicate which part to replace. The only way to know for sure which parts that
are no longer within factory specs and for a proper repair all the electronics
must be diagnosed by someone who has electrical expertise and knows how to
solder/re-solder components. You did not mention how many blinks are there but
still the common problem in these sets are the light blinking 6 times which indicates
there is a problem in the horizontal circuit. Likely a failed horizontal output
transistor which needs to be replaced.
However if there is seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit
goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits. This
can be the high voltage splitter.
Four
blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal
line then the video signal muted. Check IC5004, Q1505.
If you decide to repair this set yourself you will need to be careful,
this set feeds the tubes with tens of thousands of volts and if you are not
careful and do not know exactly what you are doing you can be hurt. There are
also many different caps in
the set that hold a charge and can hurt you as well. In addition I have seen
many good people destroy their sets because they did not know what they were
doing and either broke a circuit board or damaged some traces causing their
sets to never work again.
Please do accept the
solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

My TV set turns on but won't stay on longer than a
These sets are really expensive to work on. Most likely you have a bad "D" board. I have never had much success repairing these down to component level. Have a repair shop check it out. These are expensive tv's and well worth a check out charge.
