Sorry but you can't on this set . Sony's have a problem when the capacitors in the high voltage supply dry out your sweep will widen and even fold over at some point . the set is getting old and can be repaired but it will be expensive . it's time to think about replacement . sorry , i know how good these tv's are , but age takes it's toll.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. If menu setting come on screen you may have the brightness adjusted to minimum level

Problem May final picture tube CRT socket board, A dry soldering on thi board can generate color streeks on picture, On your case mostly problem may be on RED section. Have a Nice day
