Turn on tv went black left line in middle horazontal
vertical circuit is out, some component failed. turn it on and when the line comes on hit the top of the case with the flat of your hand, if the line fluctuates or goes away you have a bad solder connection on the circuit board. if it doesn't make any difference when you smack it then something has failed completely. no user repairable parts inside.

This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Why is my t.v. getting double vision?
Check the cable fitting where it connects to the back of the box, and also at any splitters or unions you may have in the line. Loose fittings can cause that, as can breaks in the coax shielding, and cheap or damaged splitters.
