Try using another power outlet, if you are using a power distribution board then try plugging the TV directly into a wall socket. If using an extension cord then try with another cord. It also maybe that the factory lead that came with the TV is faulty, any of these problems may be restricting the correct amount of amperage required by the TV unit to operate.

Hi Simonbra, According to the service manual. the 5 blinks is due to a defective IC on the M board, The defective part is IC001 I can send you the service manual if need be.

Probably a defective horizontal output transformer , also check the horizontal output transistor. Both parts available from tritronicsinc.com

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor.
