Resistors are present in this tv and every television set that has ever been made. These are a mandator components of the protection circuitry. If you can tell me what exactly the problem with your set is, I can give you specific advice to fix it.

See attached photos---if your set looks ANYTHING like them you have a convergence problem.The model indicated uses 2 of the stk-392-560 chips--both would have to be replaced and the set adjusted with the Sony remote.Let me know if you have questions.Stevetypical chip in your set!Steve

If it will not adjust in the convergence mode--bad convergence chips (2) stk-392-560..This could be a do it yourself repair if you can solder and have some skills.total parts cost would be under 25 dollars.

The convergence is regulated by two ICs. When the convergence ICs become faulty you get colors not matching and shapes show kind of colored halos that may resemble a 3d effect.The problem is fixed replacing the two ICs. The repair requires component testing and precision soldering experience and must be done by a technician.

Yes the Boards for that model are available from www.tvrepairworld.com they also have instructions so you can easially replace the board yourself.

6 blinks is an indication of +5 volt over or undercurrent boltage. ussally on a or b boards

Next to FBT flyback transfomer near the Hori output transistor is a high voltage capacitor 2k v check it it feeds to the output transistor and if it is bad high voltage will not come up.

see attached photo of board (power cord goes to it and it is mounted on its side) the fuses are middle to right edge behind the plugs on the rear edge of the board.Orange, 2 side by side and marked 5a each on the top of the board (5 amp)

Be sure to look at the two five amp pico fuses on the Power Supply board (orange and look like resistors) which should be on far left side as you look from the back where the power cord enters the set.They are marked and side by side, check like any fuse.SD TECH

Ur tv have a problems known as a convergence picture problems it is dead.The tv convergence board it is dead and must have to repair like replacing 2 STK convegence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fixed the tv convergence board to solved the tv convergence pictures problems.Yes,u can fix it and do the works by ur self.But u have to have all the requirement tools,have the skills and the know how to do the work on a circuit board and can do basic soldering work like take out ICS chips and replaces ICS chips on a soldering circuit board and also can take out some small dead components parts and replaces it with doing a soldering works.U can do that?Yes?Tries websites like Tvrpairworld.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a whole complete convergence kit that belong to ur DLP tv make and mode about $70-$75 also the kit will have a DVD tutoring disc.As i said u have all tools and the skills to work on a cucuit board and changes ICS and resistors u can do the job ur self.Or tvs shops will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.
