go to picture control using the tv buttons it will say somthing like split screen or pip go onto that and turn off.

Don't replace the entire G board! that is expensive! The diodes are available from MCM electronics and can be easily replaced.

Q8013 & Q8014 are both 2SK3568 sony Part# 6-550-882-01R8051 is 0.1 1/2 watt fusible resistor sony Part # 1-216-837-11 and IC8005 is a TL1431CZ-AP sony Part # 8-759-586-17 you should be able to get those parts through www.tvrepairworld.com

Google first the model number to find the full service manual with error codes and schematics and parts lists--I have seen it out there--problem suggests a power supply issue and that board (far left as seen from rear?) has voltages marked right on the board for most of the major plugs----you should be able to remove the board with power cord attached and do static voltage and resistance checks that way.

That means you are using the remote control eh! Switch it off manualy and on again. Check remote for batteries or functionality

I wouldnt pay that. There are cheaper guys out there. Did you test IC5101 on the D Board? You might just need to replace that. The 4 blinks is hinting to either no 15V's or Lack of vertical from a faulty IC510. Check your Transistor and see if it is bad. You might get lucky and save a lot of money on a repair.

Rear ProjectionThis model is really prone to one problem in particular--screen even briefly comes up bright red, green or blue and set shuts down.15 seconds from turn on front power light should blink as set checks several things internally---if something wrong it does not let picture show.Usually after shut down or failure power light will blink a sequence of blinks but not always depending on problem.Did you see the screen at all go red, green, or blue before?the more you tell me the better I can help

test the speakers and make sure connected and in menu make sure they are turned on.The set if in variable may also mute the speakers in the set as that was mostly for a surround sound use.

the problem is you cable box , try a dvd player and if the dvd looks ok that would tell you is the box the problem

your model doesnt have a lamp it has three CRTs ( Picture Tubes) instead one is red, one blue and one green CRts are used in your model.

Yes it sounds like the A board and U board are the culprits. You can get the A board for that model at www.tvrepairworld.com

thats caused by failed zero cross diodes on the G board. You can get the G board repaired from www.tvrepairworld.com replacement boards are no longer available for that model.

The sony YM909 is available from www.tvrepairworld.com listed unnder the Remote catagory thats the direct replacement for your models original remote.
