Sony kdf60x5955 turns off the on again
Hi,
This is clear symptom of weak lamp that is reaching to an end of its working life in your Sony KDF-60XS955 tv.
Please replace lamp in tv, lamp replacement is easy and written in user manual.
Buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.
Hope this info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.
Sony wega not displaying HD correctly.
Press the picture and wide mode buttons at the top of the remote. If that doesn't fix it try a dvd and cable. If only one of the sources " dvd/cable " work correctly the other is the issue.
My Sony KDF-60Xs955 rear projection has a blueish
this is normally either a color calibration (easy) or a light adjustment(if burnt out very bad)
for the color calibration you want to go into your menu setting and look for the color calibration menu it should give you two cross hairs to align causing a different color yellow red is orange green is blue yellow and so on after ensuring all theese setting are correct your best bet is going to be taking it to or having a television repair man come to you to check the bulbs hopefully if just an adjustment needs to be made cost should be minimal unfortunately if a light is burnt out its usually cheaper to buy a new tv
hope this helps
please leave feedback
thanks

The light engine is bad. Contact Sony. Even out of warranty they have been replacing some of these.
The on lcd little light blink six time
The standby light blinks to indicate problems with the TV. Six blinks indicates an internal problem, I suspect with the lamp. I recommend contacting a Sony repair shop to vacuum out the TV and replace the lamp. Installing it yourself has no bulb warranty and you cannot vacuum it out without taking it apart. Lamps are $250+ each...
BLUE SPOTS ON SCREEN
The
Blue Screen of Death (also known as a
stop error,
BSoD,
bluescreen, or
Blue Screen of Doom) is a colloquialism used for the error screen displayed by some operating systems, most notably Microsoft Windows, after encountering a critical system error that can cause the system to shut down to prevent irreversible damage to the system's integrity.

Standby light flashing indicates that a problem is occurring. The exact count of the flashes between pauses will tell a service shop what is happening. This could be the lamp shutting down due to overheating. Dust buildup inside the lamp-based projection TVs is an issue.
Overheating will destroy your $250+ lamp. I suggest you call an authorized service center and tell them the count of the standby light flashes (usually between 1 and 9 flashes)
