i have one like this as well its works the fan runs but it doesnt cool unless i put a frozen bottle of water in ,could be a thermostat or the compressor motor ,could even have just lost the gas through a solder joint somewhere ,you will have to take it apart first to determine the cause and then if its economicaly viable to have it repaired ,check the thermostat is working first thouigh if anything more bin it as these are not expensive to replace ,90 euros for a small one and just under 200 for a bigger one ,but the best ones that run for ever and a day are the ex coca cola or pepsi ones if you can find a second hand one from the companys that supply and maintain these machines for the drinks companies .
Thermostat not working How to
Hello,
Unplug the wine cooler before removing any panels or screws. If the
plug is hidden behind cabinets or in another hard-to-reach location, you
can flip the breaker switch that controls the power to the kitchen.
Locate the thermostat on your wine cooler.
Use
needle-nose pliers to remove the wires from the ends of the
thermostat's terminals. Grip the wires close to the end and gently tug
until the slip-on connectors pull away from the terminal. Do not pull
from the middle of the wires because they are thin and can break easily.
Remove any screws or clamps holding the thermostat in place.
Set the new thermostat in place and reconnect any clips, clamps or screws.
Replace
any inside panels, screws or clips that you removed. Plug the wine cooler cord back into the electrical outlet or flip the breaker
back on, and wait for the unit to cool down.
Take care.
Can the U-Line 15WC Wine Captain be converted to a
Here is a couple of reason that answer is no. One the thermostat is designed for 45 - 60 degrees. 2 The door is only design for those temperatures as well. I believe you are going to need the bee around 34 degrees. A wine captain would never make it. Its also design for 3 different temps at once. coldest on bottom and warmest on top.
The door was not shut
e-5 means that the unit is 10 degrees warmer then setpoint. If you just close everything up and let it run the e5 should disappear when it gets within the temperature.
