Sony STR-DE445 Receiver Questions & Answers
Pcm 48 khz
mine does the same thing. I found a pdf of the manual and it said this in the troubleshooting section:
""PCM--kHz" appears on the display.
, The sampling frequency is more than 48 kHz. Change the DVD setting to 48 kHz."
I have my seiki tv hooked into the dvd/ld input through a coaxial cable, and I don't think my tv has a setting to change the sampling frequency. so I have no idea what to do. any help would be great!
Speakers pop and rear speakers cut out of surround sound
Hi,
your problem is a bad solder connection of the relay linked to the lautspeaker sockets. I had the same problem and googled for the solution. Since I resoldered the pins everything is fine. That problem is well known and happens to a lot of Sony receivers.
I can send you a link with a detailed how-to-do solution with pictures, however it's written in german language. But you can use some online translators.

Sony STR-DE445 Receiver...the auto protect
If your system sounds great with the Sony receiver volume at 30+, then I
wouldn't worry about the high setting. You can't compare the volume
numbers from one system to another. They really don't mean much. More
efficient speakers will play louder at a lower volume.
You should also check:
1) The speaker wire is connected properly
2) The impedance (Ohms) setting on your receiver matches recommended impedance for your speakers
3) The surround processing mode is correct
Properly there
are two small transistors in side of the receiver, that are not
working, if you are daring enough, go ahead and try to find out which
ones they are, or find a repair tech that is willing to do it, as this
requires surgical soldering skills to fix.
Take care..
Trying to program dish network
We would be happy to help with that. Here is a list of some of the codes that we have for Sony Amplifiers: 500, 645, 687, 639, 846, and 765.
Press and hold the AUX mode button until all mode buttons at the top of the remote come on, then release. Enter the number 2 then * then one of the codes for your Sony amplifier provided above.Press the pound (#) button, the mode light should flash three times. Check that the code works by trying severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate your Sony amplifier.Keep in mind that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If thisis the case, please try the other codes listed for that device until you findone that is compatible with your equipment.
We hope this helps you, and thank you for being a valued DISH Network Customer!

My sony receiver model:str-se445 stop working
hello, your problem is the out put transistors, but before you replaced them check for any loose connections or cold solder in the pre-amp or drivers integrated circuit. good luck.
My strde445 is 10 years old now...whenever I
They don't actually say it in so many words but the "two week" comment and the Demo Mode startup on even the briefest power loss implies there is a battery or a charged capacitor for memory keep-alive somewhere inside the unit and it is dead or malfunctioning.
Maybe someone can add something more specific to look for. Either way, a tech needs to check it out.
My 8-year old Pioneer loses settings on extended power losses, too. Oh well.
One front channel in on my receiver is extremely
There's a component that's going out or it might be a cold solder connection on the channel. Inspect the board for the latter - use a non- conductive tool and poke around the channel in question to detect the cold connection. Use extreme caution when working with a live circuit - try not to get electrocuted.
