Sony STR-DE597P - Centre Sound Problem
HI...
You have a "ground loop" problem.
It's related to the AC wiring in your place.
I dont know if you have a Walmart or Home Depot type store near you but,if you do, go to one and ask for a AC circuit tester. Should be a 3 prong unit with LEDs. Plug one into where you have the stereo and see what it reads.
You might have lost a ground connection in the AC outlet
I want to find the isntruction for ow to turn on a
The instructions are available from Sony's website, but generally you can:
Press the Power button on the TV itself
Press the Power button no the remote.
Perhaps you might want to rephrase the question.
Dark display on Sony STR-DE597 receiver
Check for bad solder connections on the display itself. If none use a voltmeter and check dc voltage on the first and last pins of the display. should be about 20v dc. If you don't have the dc voltage check for a bad transistor or resistor in the power supply. It could also be other thing but this is where you should start.
STR-DE597 Display is not visible
Try a complete RESET by completely switching OFF mains power and leaving for at least 40secs. before commencing a new setting-up procedure.
Let's know if this does work it back to normality!
Everytime I put the volume
I would check all speaker connections and speakers, check the speakers with an ohm meter and compare the resistance with all matching speakers and on the nameplate if there is one, my amp did that last year and i found a burnt coil in one speaker ( center channel) hooked my old one back up and solved the problem for me. GOOD LUCK
Spot working
Hi..
It's broken internally..Yup.
Find someone local to look at it. A TV repair shop even.
NOT Sony.
Get an estimate first.
Just hooked up Coax cable; now talking is barely audible
is the center speaker turned up in the reciever speaker settings? each speaker can be adjusted to a level that is higher or lower or all the same as the rest. also is the dolby digital turned on in the reciever settings? and changing the surround sound pre set sounds can also improve the type of audio you are listening to in 6.1 surround sound
Protect Mode
Make sure that you are not asking too much from your system by having a "heavy" bass contour, or processing externally that amounts to the same thing...accordianman
Stuck in HP 2CH
one of the transistors seem to have been installed in the wrong direction.if it is working it will blow off again As for the remote , it works via a separate circuit.
Stuck protector mode
find out why the fuse blew in the first place.the protector is just PROTECTING the main circuits of the receiver.the receiver turns on just to confirm the power circuit is OK.
have it checked by an electronic engineer.
No Sound
Does indeed sound like an internal DC fuse problem.
Hope you manage to replace the offending fuse O.K.
Cannot get radio to work
Are you sure you followed the whole setting-up procedure correctly and that you are feeding it with a good enough signal!
