Sylvania SRT2232S 32" TV - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I suspect you have simply switched to an unused input. If you use the original remote you can probably switch the input readily back to what you want.

Without a remote control; you can't do any further adjustments. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.

As there is no 'Menu' button on the front panel of the TV, you should have a remote control, to adjust picture settings. If you wish to buy a genuine remote control, you have to contact the authorized service center. If you wish to buy a universal remote control, you should know about, which brand remote control have set-up codes to your TV brand, and buy that one according to availability. The first thing you have to do is, to confirm the number of digits in the setup codes to your TV brand. There are 4 digit, 5 digit, 3 digit and even 2 digit codes. You can make it sure by entering '0s' at the code enter window the TV dispays, and asks codes. Enter 'Zeros', and count how many zeros can be enterd. That number will be the number of digit of setup code, the TV/Device need. If you can enter 5 zeros, the number of digit in the set-up code to your TV is a '5' digit one, if only 2 zeros can be enterd, the number of digits in the set-up code to your TV should be a 2 digit one, and so on.. If you wish to get more details about this, try the sites linked here.

Sylvania MTS/SAP TV.
I don't have a remote
I accidentally hit the ''menu'' button on the front. Now I can't get the TV to show anything but static -- like there is no signal coming in from receiver (either through input jacks on front or on rear. Menu gives various options, but none of them gets me back to being able to see the picture.

Remote sensor can be tested with set powered up--usually three leads where it is soldered in---with a meter one is voltage, one ground, one signal----check for the voltage with a meter but a scope is needed to test the signal.

This can be due to moisture build up or dirt accumulating with a static charge to induce voltage and so change the customer control panel switchings.
You can try with a good cleaning of the board and panels. Make sure to dry if moisture is seen. Also check for static conducion of high voltage to the control panel that can induce the inputs to work erratic.
if not check the processor section- processor damage- and the board for a possible weakness.
