Above is the manual for your tv.I cannot find anything in here that relates to remote codes.
The best bet is to ring the manufacturer.But read the below first.

you would have to select the video/audio source(that you connected the DVD to) on the tv by pressing the input or video button on remote or tv front panel.

Make sure the "text" option is not turned on in the Closed caption menu. Usually when text is available, text will show up in this box.

If you have green patching or anyother colour patching on the screen, your TV may need de-gaussing. The problem is caused when a magnetic field comes close to the TV. A simple solution can often be achieved with a fridge magnet, by moving it over the green patch and pulling it away in certain directions may solve the problem. A TV tech will have a de-gaussing coil which can solve the problem in a matter of minutes.

This is an easy repair if you've ever soldered. and would nt be to costly for a repair shop to do it for you. The problem is a bad Vertical Output IC (usually mounted on an aluminium heat sink with the part on it labelled LA78?? ) and 1 or 2 bad capacitors. Some times you can even fix the problem by resolderin the contacts of the IC

Same Problem. TV was purchased from Sams Club about 2 or 3 years ago. workede great unti llast week. We were watching tv and it just shut off. The power button on the tv started to get soft were you had to push hard or just use the remote. My guess its something with the wsitch.

I had to use a dishnetwork remote that I had lying around. You also may able to program a direct tv remote, replaytv remote or universal remote. I have found that putting it into 'game mode' does not work. You will not be able to change the input without a remote.

Here are the instructions for the dishnetwork remote I was using (may differ slightly from yours):

1. Verify the remote is a DISH Network remote. Look for the DISH Network logo on the bottom of the remote and Mode buttons or lights at the top. Why?

Some codes for Sylvania tvs are 0020, 0030, 0054, 0096 also 0171, 0179, 0180 1nd 8083. They depend on the model number and the universal remote used. Sometimes remote uses three digits...drop the first digit and use the last three.

Your personal access code will be erased and return to the default (0000) when a power failure occurs or when you turn off the power using a wall switch. If you forget the code, unplug the power cord for 10 seconds to restore the access code to 0000

i had the same problem after a burglary, if you do not have rca outputs on the t.v theres is nothing you can do short of getting the t.v repaired. if you have rca's then buy an adapter or just run cable line through an old vcr.

The Wii console should have included a cable to plug into the AV Multi-out Connector. This cable has the plug for the Wii on one end, and three RCA plugs on the other. They are color-coded yellow for the video output, and red and white for right and left channel audio outputs. These plugs would go into the corresponding RCA input jacks on your TV (if it has them), and you would select that input using the TV remote or front panel buttons.

If your TV doesn't have A/V inputs, you need to get an RF converter. This device takes the A/V signals from the Wii and converts it to a signal on channel 3 or 4 so you can tune it in on your TV. These cost around $15 at Wal-Mart and other retailers.

Do you have the remote? Try changing the INPUT to AVI, AV2, Compnent, etc.

indid the formate is wrong when recording to the usb the format you want to used must be used.not all cd decks plays mp3 e.g
