Did you finalize the DVD before you removed it from the VCR/DVD recorder? Until a disc is finalized, it won't work on another device. If you left some space, try to finalize it now. Does the disc play when in that Sylvania unit? It is possible that the unit is faulty and didn't focus the laser properly for writing to the DVD. (If you actually tried to burn to a CD and not a DVD-R, then no data was written to the disc. There are slight differences to the laser settings for CDs and DVDs.) I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Hi Elsie- If you do not have the remote, you can change inputs by doing the following: Changing inputs Inputs are selected by using a number of methods, depending on the model of your Sylvania TV. Switching inputs is usually accomplished by pressing the "Input Select" button on the remote. Each press will simply cycle through each available input on your TV. If no remote is available, the front panel has a button that matches the function on the remote. To keep it short, that is the way most tvs are wired nowadays, so you are out of luck. You are limited even on Bluetooth connections to only two headphone sets. There are some ways around it though if your tv sound output is going to a decent receiver with its own speakers.
