Ensure the batteries are the correct kind and chemical makeup (yes it does make a difference!)
try using lithium or alkaline as oppose to standard =]

Otherwise there may be an issue with the camera itself, check for warranty? if it isnt under warranty, document the error message/number, consult the manual AND the support site for the manufacturer.

good luck! =]

Error signal

You should have two types of batteries. 2 CR123A batteries: (lithium) 4 AA batteries (alkaline or nickel-metal hydride) Never use Nicad batteries. Never use different batteries together. that is for the four AA batteries. They should be the same brand and the same capacity. The lithium batteries should be the same brand and same date. Before changing batteries, always switch off the camera. When you use rechargeable batteries, be sure you did charge them fully, before putting them in the camera.

Hi there. A mystery error shows the Display of my Finepix S2 pro. Its like that: "o - -" or "o _ _" in the upper Display. Has anyone an idea for that? Best regards, Harry

Try resetting the camera by removing the battery for 15 mins. Replace the battery then go to the camera's Menu and scroll through the settings to set the Date and Time.

In the P, S, and M modes, turn the command dial on the back of the camera. In the P and S modes the aperture will also change to compensate. In the A mode, turn the secondary command dial on the front to change the aperture, and the shutter speed will change to compensate.

Usually the photo is displayed for a short period of time. Try the setup in the menu. There should be an option for previewing recent pictures.
