The LG manual provided a remote code of 013, yet the DVD player does not respond to the programming on the LG remote. Any ideas of alternate codes to try?

My DVD Player is stuck in profressive scan mode and I can't get it to the menu to change it. Anytime I put a disc in and turn it on, the screen goes blue and says progressive scan mode. It won't let me do anything. Does anyone have any solutions?
Trun the DVD player on till you see the "progressive scan" screan. Hold the "stop" botton down for 5 seconds and the unit should reset to standard DVD play.

I just bought the Magnavox ZV450MW8A, I have been trying to record a program and I keep getting the same message. This program is not recordable in +VR mode. E 45
I don't know what to do? I have been searching the manual and can't figure it out. Can someone help?

Just set the channel to a non-premium channel (ABC, CBS, PBS, etc.) before starting the dubbing process.

I have a Zenith tv that only has the ANTENNA IN on it, was using and watching dvd/vcr movies just fine.
Had to buy converter box so I got the Zenith 901. Now I can't watch my dvd/vcr movies. It has power to it and the remote works, it appears the movie is playing but I can't find the channel the movie is playing on. HELP

I BOUGHT A MAGNAVOX DVD/VCR COMBO AND I HAVE A VIZIO FLAT SCREEN AND I CANNOT GET THE MAGNAVOX DVD/VCR TO WORK WITH VIZIO TV WHAT DO I DO?
Is simply. get the audio/vido cables and look on the back of the TV and connect from the audio video outputs from the combo to the audio video inputs on the tv. remember the colors of the terminals and connect them that matches the red, white (audio) and the yellow (video). Using the remote locate the button "input" or "source", and select video 1 or 2, depending where you connected it.

I've just hooked up my mother-in-laws analog tv, converter box and new magnavox dvd/vcr combo and it will not record from tv. Can watch previous recorded tapes. Is there another way that I need to hook this up? It will not let me bring the tv stations through the vcr. I have it on channel 3 on the converter. When I go to channel 3 on tv and leave the station channel I get a blue screen. The record light comes on the vcr but nothing on screen to tell me its recording. Can't get a menu either or set up information to appear on screen. This magnavox won't work with old rabbit ears either. No place for screw on conax cable. HELP Please!
check out this diagram, paying close attention to the audio video cable hookups.
assume the cable tv box represents the converter box
you are going to come out of the converter box audio and video outputs into the new magnavox dvd/vcr combo audio and video inputs.
Then out of the new magnavox dvd/vcr combo outputs to the inputs on the tv if it has such inputs. The TV will have to operate on the video input 1 or 2 if the tv has such a thing, use the remote for the tv to adjust the input signal to line in 1 or 2 depending on what it has.
If the tv has no coaxial input or audio video inputs then you might have to use an adapter, you can get these from radio shack.
You say it will not record from the tv, but in all actuality the dvd vcr combo is getting the signal from the converter box not the tv, do you understand what I mean here?
So the dvd vcr combo gets input from the converter box so you will have to set it to view signal from the line input you have plugged in from the converter box. line 1 or 2 or whatever the input is.
the tv will have to be set on the line input to view the signal from the dvd vcr combo.
That is as easy as I can put it. Study the diagram closely. You will see what I mean.

I tried the laser lens cleaner but it gave me the same message. Any other ideas?
Ok well I have a brand new disc from the store with Percy Jackson movie on it and it will not play. The disc plays in other players in the house and other discs play in the player just not this one.

I pressed something on my Philips DVD and now it says "Root". What do I do to get it to play the DVD again?
"Root" is part of the Menu screen, press Menu on the remote to clear it.
