The cost to fix it is too high. And normally it affects almost all components.
Take it to an expert near you and analyze the situation if you want, but if it was me I would thow that away and buy a new one.

Check mute function, busted speaker, or your audio section of your tv has a defective parts, need a repairman.

if there is a DTV label on it , then it is digital .check the manual
digital would have the following : atsc ,hdtv ,digital tuner ,dtv

Most settings and configurations except the Parental Lock could be reverted to factory default by doing a full hard reset. This is done by simply unplugging the unit from the mains for a couple of hours (or overnight preferably). If done and the system/TV will do a reset, all your settings (color, brightness, program selection) will be back to normal (or factory default).

Most parental Locks works with a code or password. Unfortunately, often this requires the use of the original remote that came with the TV.

Try the instructions found in this link for removing or activating the smartlock.

Remove the cover on the back of the tv. Look for swollen or leaking capacitors. They kinda look like batteries. If they are bulging or leaking then that is your problem. You will have to de-solder the old ones off. Then solder the new capacitors onto the circuit board. Capacitors will cost about 20 dollars and installing them isn't that hard to do. It will fix your tv 99% of the time. So it is worth a try!

I'm assuming that you have checked that the sound is not muted. To confirm that a reset to factory settings is the next procedure: Menu - Setup - General - Factory settings. If you don't see/hear any modifications then it's a hardware defect, not something with the settings.
This happens when the tv thinks that the headphones are used. Simple test to confirm that: plug in a pair of speakers and see if you get the sound on them. If you get and the situation doesn't changes when you unplug them then this is a mechanical defect: the small switch inside the headphone jack is faulty and keeps signaling that the headphones are plugged in when they are not.
The only way to fix that is to replace the jack, which involves a very delicate soldering procedure , one that only a good repairman can do - you must call one.
