E-Machines T2482 PC Desktop Questions & Answers
How do I remove a sound card from the Emachine
hello, i think thi smodel has an onboard AC97 audio chipset. if my asumption is correct, then you can not remove (physically) the chip set.
if you are adding a new card for whatever reason, you can simply disable the onboard audio by going in to BIOS.
simply restart your PC and start hitting delete key ( assuming thats the key to get into BIOS) and once in the BIOS find area called onboard peripherals and locate onboard audio/sound and disable it.
technically you don't have to disable it to get another card working but to keep things simple i would recommend you do that.
hope this helps
kind regards

I have a T2482 pc, I am not sure which pins the
See if you can find the motherboard manufacturer and circuit board #. Do a search either for manufacturer or motherboard number. They should have the pinouts. They might have a diagram of what color wire plugs where.
I had not used my computer in a while and I was
ur data are 100 percent were u left them....**** if u need the answer u need to check if the fan on the top pf ur cpu is running first(the big black fan)...if it is then ur mother board is propably ok...cause some amds these days are doing the same prob!!!! so if the fan is working ur pc is half 700 percent alive...else remove all the pc agp cards (sound, modem, vga, tv tuner.....) and the battery ..and ur rams(take care!!!)...for about five minutes then replug every thing back and try again!!!!!! if it dosint work then i take back the 70 % and left is the 30% (its ur data)..gd luck
EMachine T2482 Computer won't power on or boot up.
Try removing the power cable from the power supply. Wait 10 seconds, and replace it again. Try powering up the computer. If it doesn't power up, check that the motherboard has power (there should be a LED on the board which is lit up. Of course, check the fuse also in the plug.
If the LED is on, you have a failed motherboard / Switch. If the LED is off, then you have a failed power supply. Beware though, if the PSU has blown, it could easily have taken the motherboard with it.
Cpu upgrade
Hi Keith... here is all I could find on this machine, I assume this is how yours is set up. Component details are almost impossible to get on E-machine units, they just do not provide them.
- Processor Intel Celeron D 356 / 3.33 GHz
- Memory 512.0 MB / 2.0 GB (max)
- Hard Drive 120.0 GB - 7200.0 rpm
- Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista
First, you want to check to see if your proc even can be changed; many of E-machine procs are permanently attached to the motherboard and cannot be removed; this is the cheapest way to manufacture a computer, and E-machines is bottom of the line quality computer (no insult intended, just fact). Since I don't know what CPU socket the T3604 has I can't tell you if the Intel CPU would fit it. Next, I don't know what the Northbridge is running at; if it is less than 1066 there will be a bottleneck and there is no significant gain. At this point, I suggest that you not spend a lot of money on this, better to save and build your own computer. If you are a hardcore gamer looking for high framerates you really don't want this machine. Better to load in more RAM if you have no other options. Here is something I ran across:

If I had the above details I could give you an answer.
My emachine t1831-07 keeps getting stuck on green
www.dynamite.com might still sell what you want :> Just kiddding!Try a complete wiping of the hard-drive unless you are doing an upgrade, you will lose all data on the drive. If that doesn't work, you might not be running enough ram memory for 7 to run cleanly on you machiine, go ahead and upgrade.Hope this helps!
