Emachines wireless not working
Try looking in the program list for the program that starts the wireless. Click Start/Programs and look for the program that drives the wireless and open it.Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

Windows is very fussy about the hard drive being formatted
I would try a different Operating System just to be sure the rest of it is OK
The fix for you is to verify that XP can be installed with your disk.
Try a different hard drive
This is an extremely difficult problem. You may want to take it to a shop and have them install XP for you.
Cant find wireless button
Hi,
Its a keyboard toggle, usually hold down Fn and press F2 to turn on the wireless radio. If its not F2 then look for an F key which has an icon of an antenna on it, that will be the key.

when stuff like that happens to me or my friends, i have an external enclosures for different types of hard drives. you have to take the hard drive out of the laptop and put it in the external enclosure and hook that up to another computer and you can save your files like that. you can ge enclosures at places like best buy. ebay will be cheaper but you have to wait for it to be delivered

NTLDR is not loading?? How do I recover this file
Dear Sir,
plz folow this step to fix your probelm,
series of questions that appear over and over again. So is the case with the “NTDR is missing” when the user attempts to boot their
system. Below are some ways to fix or repair the problem so your system should boot up properly.
- This is the first thing to look at. Is your system trying to boot from a CD or floppy disk that is non-bootable? Remove the CD or floppy and try again.
- Have you added a new hard disk
with another copy of Windows installed on the new disk? Have you confirmed that the drives are set properly as Master and Slave?
- If steps 1 and 2 do not apply, then it is time to pull out the big guns. Follow steps 4 through 10.
- Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
- When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
- Once in the Windows XP setup menu, press the “R” key to repair Windows.
- Log into your Windows installation by pressing the “1′ key and pressing enter.
- You will then be prompted for your administrator password; enter that password.
- Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter “E.” This letter may be different on your computer.
copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
- Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot.
Thanks For Your Time,
