OLYMPUS C-170(E)C CAN NOT CONNECT TO PC to

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Hi, I have an Olympus camera,

Greetings - It sounds like you are trying to use the camera's internal memory to shoot video. The camera only has 14 MB of internal memory.
If you want to shoot video or store more than a handful of pictures you need to get yourself an SD memory card and install it as directed in the manual. A two GB card would hold up to 60 minutes of video and can be purchased for about 10 dollars (USD).
Have Fun, Mikeywaf

Hi Experts, I bought an Olympus

When taking a picture, you must press the shutter button half-way and allow the camera to lock in the focus (it will beep) and then press the rest of the way when the moment is right for an instant picture. Is that what you do?

Camera not focusing properly, blurry result. can

Hi, you have problem in lens Focus maybe the gear focus was stuck up becuase of sand or dust that goes inside of your camera. what you need to do is:

1. try to reset the camera to default setting-maybe you make some wrong setting to your camera-kindly check if the problem still occur.
2. clean the lens glass-maybe there's a moisture or a finger print from the glass of the lens -check
3.if the problem still occur you need to check if your camera are still coverd by the warranty. If yes bring to service center and for sure this will covered by warranty of if they charge you with minimum charges.

good luck and thank you my friend

Can I move images saved to the internal memory to the optional xD-Picture Card

You sure can. Go to your shooting mode menu. Scroll down to BACKUP Click on OK Select YES Click on OK All image data stored in the internal memory is copied to the card. Press MENU to exit the menu. Make sure there is enough room on your card to hold all the pictures in memory. When you've copied to the card the original pictures are still held in the internal memory so you will have to clear it. When the card has insufficient memory, [CARD FULL] is displayed and copying is canceled. When the battery icon is blinking, pictures cannot be backed up because of insufficient battery power. If the battery power runs out during copying, the image data may be lost or damaged. I recommended you use the AC adapter if you have one. If not, make sure your batteries are charged. Never open the battery compartment/card cover, remove the batteries, or connect or disconnect the AC adapter during copying as this may cause malfunction to the internal memory or the card.

I HAVE AN OLYMPUS MASTER (FE-190 )AND I HAVE LOST SERIAL NUMBER

I looked up the FE-190 and it says it uses XD Memory Cards not discs. Several companys make a card reader that plug into the USB connector
on computers. 2 are Targus and Lexar. You could probable find an XD card reader at Walmart or Radio Shack. The XD memory card will then show up
on your computer screen as a regular folder that contains JPG files, which are the pictures.
