Is a vivicam S130 downloading software the same as Vivicam 3750

Yes, but you don't need to use it. There are much better choices out there. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Downloading pictures to your laptop

This is very simple:
Install any software that came with your camera (sometimes this can be optional, try it withought first)
Plug in your USB cable to your camera, then to your computer.
A box should come up to download the pictures. If not, look at this website:
http://www.chriscamera.com/downloadingphotos.htm
This is how to download photos manually (by copying them onto your computer)
With these steps, you should have your photos ready on your computer.

You can use any kind of picture downloading software to import photos from a camera.
Personally, I like Google PICASA the most. http://picasa.google.com/
But there are lots of other good free choices.
Google for: free photo library software
You can also request the "Vivitar Experience" software at http://www.vivitar.com/support

Hello there,
Try to format the memory card first on your computer. And then format it on the camera. Also, you need to make sure that the SD card is not write protected. It means that you should inspect at the side of the memory card for a small switch. You need to move it the other way around.
Good luck!

NO MATTER WHAT I DO,PICTURES OF SMALL ITEMS ARE

Your camera has a minimum focusing distance. Get closer than that and the camera cannot focus properly. The only way around it is a close-up lens adapter. If anyone carries one for your camera you will likely find it on eBay.

Hi, I have a Vivitar

To my knowledge there is not. The software you have for the camera as you found out is not compatible. Windows 7 will have imaging software built in which leaves the only problem being getting the images from the camera to the new PC's hard drive. This can be accomplished using a memory card reader, the computer then looks at this reader as an external hard drive. You can then download the memory card files to a folder on the computer and ask Windows 7 to open the file folder. This should one selected file type thumbnails of your pictures. Personally I don't use the camera software at all. I use Photoshop to handle my photo's that and a memory card reader so I can use any one of my four digital cameras. I'm sure Photoshop 7 has imaging programs in the early versions it was called "Paint"

What type of batteries? If Ni-Mh then just recharge them...
Some cameras draw off a little power to keep the internal clock going so maybe the batteries
got discharged.. or if alkaline just try a new set of batteries
