Digital channels

It's possible the stations you have in your area

have switched from UHF to VHF or vise-versa

I had the same problem and have lost one channel completely

You didn't clarify if your using an antenna or

cable qam so I assumed you are using antenna.

Youll need to check your antenna to see if it

supports both UHF vhf if it only supports one

that could be your problem .

go to antennaweb.org it will help you determine

what stations are avalible to you .

Sanyo ds 27510 tv no remote want to setup my tv with an antennea, wont switch from video 2

If it has a MENU button, press it and use the volume up and down to manipulate the choices, press menu again when you get to channel setup. you want AIR if using off air or Cable for cable. Next screen should say start and press menu again, the channels will start to cycle. If htat doesnt do it, you have a new model than the one I just did tonight. OneForall remotes will probably not have the setup button you need to autoprogram. Best bet is to find a Sanyo made universal remote or other Sanyo remote on Ebay as alot of the buttons are proprietary to manufacturer. Some TV's are useless without their own remote if not on a external tuner (cable SAT or digital)

It turns itself on and off repeatedly

Try this:

Unplug the tv let sit for a minute while you replace the batteries in the remote and cover the IR remote sensor on the front of the TV. Cover it with a piece of black tape or a piece of aluminum foil.
Plug the tv back in and turn on.
If it no longer turns on and off by itself then you have IR interference from some other remote operated device in the room.
If it does continue to turn on and off with the IR sensor covered then it is the internal wiring/processors and will need servicing.

No remote and channels won't set

Hi Roberta :)

There are a number of possible problems that can be the cause here lets go over them and see if you can deduce your problem.

The first thing I think of after reading this is the Video 1 displayed on the screen. On the back of your Tv and front sometimes there are 1 or 2 Coaxial Inputs, as many as 1-6 Componet Inputs (Red White and Yellow) and maybe some others if your tv is newer such as HDMI or S Video or Infrared port or something.

Take a look at your tv and count the total inputs (you will have 1 ouptut component for recording purposes). Each one of these has on a Television a "Source" or "Input" mode. if you can get through the menus with buttons to anything that says source or input try and manipulate that setting this may flash between these "sources" or "inputs" and show different screens (one might be cable one might be DVD player if its on, one might be Static and several could just plain be empty.

If you are unable to do this try unplugging the device for a few mins, then press the power button to discharge power in the unit. now plug it back in and see if the T.V. enters a setup mode where it scans for channels for cable or resets the input possibly.

Again if this is unsuccesful you can post your T.V. Manufacturer and Model and ill find you a model of universal remote that you can purchase that will be compatible with your tv

Comment if you trouble persists.

Programing remote control

Since you obtained a used TV, there probably wasn't an owner's manual with it. Here is the site where you can read and/or print the manual. http://www.sanyoservice.com/pdf/images/DS27510(OM)_excluded_French.pdf
On page 6 in the Quick Tips column, the second tip states: If the remote control does not work: Press TV key (see item 1).
Good luck resolving your problem.

No audio when using VCR/DVD player

the first thing that you need to do is use the video cables and audio cables that are on the back of the unit. This makes sure that you have sound and video.

Connect a dvd-vcr recorder to my tb

you will need an external dvd recorder to record vcr tapes to dvd. Sometimes you will have problems with quality when you do it this way. I have transfered vcr tapes to dvd with a transfer device using the computer and got much better results. If you need the name of the transfer device just get back with me and I will get it for you.

Image flat line

Vertical sweep failure.
It will be an I.C. with a part number that probably starts with an LA_ _ _ _ and be on a heat sink in the vicinity of the connector going up to the yoke. Try replacing that. But first, check all the electrolytic caps around it for testing dry (sorry - takes a special meter to do it in circuit) or just replace them. May have lost power to the I.C. as well. Look the I.C. up in the free NTE crossreference at nte.com get a diagram of its pinout to find what pins the power and outputs are on.
Hope ya fix it!
